So overall I think this cup went very well. Without getting into FIFA, tickets, or politics two things really stood out to me that need to be fixed.

1. TV coverage: bc fifa seemed to own the broadcast and thus the camera shots. We seemed to miss a lot of what was going on off the ball. Commentators would be like there’s a fight breaking out, and we’d just see crowd shot of random celebrity. Also very little on replays of things that happened. An experience tv director and crew would catch those things.

2. Ref positioning. All tournament I was complaining about how many times a ref would get in the way of the player at the top of the box. I’d never seen it happen so often. It’s almost like fifa asked them to take up that position and it’s not normal to them. It was only in the 3rd place game I heard Owen and Darren on comms finally talk about it.

Not sure what you guys think, did this stand out to anyone else? Any other on field on broadcast issues bug you?

This fucking guy quite literally went to the White House complained about his ban to trump. Trump being a star fucker an ego maniac that the World Cup is directly tied to him didn’t like that. Within a week of leaving DC his 2 game ban was lifted. So sorry, I don’t think Flo was a red card, but I don’t think he should be playing. But Christano Homelander set the precedent for all this shit and the USMNT and their fans are holding the bag for this today just go on X.

I feel like they’ve let that go all tournament. But do you not look at that and say ok it may have been a foul but the ball came to a Belgian for a wide open net and he missed almost like an advantage on a free? If they scored there they wouldn’t go back and make them take the peno.

The video feeds are so bad. We get not proper replays, commentators are missing stuff bc producers aren’t able to queue things up for them. Everything else about the tournament has been ok. Coverage and ticket prices have been such downers (really thought tickets were going down, but everything seems to be holding)

Idk if it’s just me but that crowd whistle has made me think a foul or a stoppage has been called like 5 times already.

I assume he’s there listening live as they do a “who is better than Clint Dempsey” and the likes of hazard or greizman are listed as worse. Gotta be missing context from the short clip?
