Recently noticed my collection was lacking a flare gun so I grabbed this Czech VZ 44/67 and a box of original flares. Got to test it out on the 4th.

It kicked way harder than I expected.

It was also pretty easy to take apart, the only annoying bit was getting the trigger in and out.

Also it was easy to take apart, I’ll probably make a video soon tho because I couldn’t find one online anywhere. The trigger was pretty annoying to get in and out.

First time cooking something like this. Please be gentle.

I bought this steak last year and finally built up the courage to try it. I got it at Walmart on the day before it expired for a 60% discount ($29) and couldn’t pass it up. Vacuumed sealed and been in the deep freeze since last July.

I’m not a chef so I just seasoned it, put it in the oven at 300° until my Bluetooth thermometer said it was 120° internal then seared all sides on my Blackstone.

I think it came out pretty good seeing ass this steaks about 3 inches thicker than what I usually cook.

The pups also approved

Took the family on our first quartz mine dig in Arkansas. My fiancé dug up a 90+ lb quartz boulder that we were able to haul home.

This trip was a ton of fun, we already booked a trip back in a few months, the boys haven’t stopped talking about it.

All pieces found at the Wegner mine in Mt Ida, Arkansas. We found tons of them even just in the surface since we went after a big storm.

Couple small finds while walking a north Texas creek tonight. Can anyone identify the last one?

Took the kids to look for bugs at a local creek and found these cool fossils. We come here semi often but recently had tons of rain and found these uncovered on our usual trail.

Does anyone know what the last pic could be?

Took my old 22 AWD XLT down some sketchy trails in Arkansas this week to see an old gun barrel stuck in a mountain

Took a trip to Arkansas this week to get away from the city. I’d heard about this funny little spring where someone many decades ago stuck a shotgun barrel in it and left it.

What I didn’t know was that the “roads” to get back to this spot are more designed for side by sides and off road style vehicles. Having no cell service for gps ( I learned after this you can download Google maps) we got lost a few times on some wet and muddy and very sketchy roads in the middle of the forest. A few with 100+ drop offs which I was not a fan of sliding passed.

The maverick made it tho even tho I definitely doubted it a few times when the wheels would spin and we fishtailed around lol.
We also made it to the Little Missouri Falls, which was arguably way easier, but we did pass a mini van that tried to get out there that had slid off the muddy road and into a ditch.

Also for anyone planing to traveling in their maverick with a family, the harbor freight trailer hitch cargo basket is a game changer! Having the cooler and our big folding wagon trapped to that freed up so much rooming the bed for the stuff we needed covered with a tarp.

Need advice from others who’ve serviced their own rear brakes.

Hey guy just a quick question. I have a 2022 XL AWD that I just changed out my front brakes and rotors on.

I’m planning on doing the rear rotors and pads this week and have watched a few videos of others doing it. It’s easy to do but I want to make sure I’ve got the right tool before taking it all apart.

I reset my front caliper pistons using the tool in the first picture and it worked great. But every video I’ve seen of the rear brakes done people are using the second pics tool and it seems like it’s twisting the pistons in more than just compressing…

Can I use the tool I already own and just compress the pistons (after it’s in brake maintenance mode of course) or do I need the other tool?

Thanks in advance!
