This competition will have entrants choosing to build a wasteland-ized version of a famous cartoon vehicle

like Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine, the Ghostbusters' Ecto 1, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Party Wagon, or anything that has been around for at least 10 years (we want established and well known stuff) and build your own version. We encourage scratch builds, but using hotwheels casting of the vehicles as a base is also fine!

In August and September we will be take entries from different cartoons, and then near the end of August we will do a popularity bracket to determine which cartoon vehicles are everyone's favorites. Every entry for a vehicle will also give bonus votes to their favorite vehicle!

So Builders , find your favorite 10+ year old Saturday Morning Cartoon vehicle or scratch build your own and get to submitting an entry in ⁠build-comp-discussion ASAP! We will need to see a couple WIPs if you want to boost your choice in the polls. You are free to use prebuilt cartoon cars as a base, but make sure you rough em up and arm em for the wasteland! Completely different cars that are inspired by the classics are also allowed, like a futuristic version of the Ecto-1 or a more modern school bus model for the Magic School Bus.

Cartoon watchers , start suggesting iconic cartoon vehicles in ⁠Bracket Nominations Thread here! You can only nominate ONE cartoon vehicle though, so make it count! We will be hosting a randomly assigned double elimination bracket starting at the end of August!

Extremely belatedly, the moderators of the Gaslands discord would like to get people to vote for the All of Fall build competition.

Unfortunately the moderators had to fight the dastardly gemini AI, which broke Google Forms for over a month, and then were extremely busy with IRL responsibilities until recently. Fortunately google forms seems to be working again, but putting the polls together still does take 4+ hours even for a smaller build competition such as this one.
