I am an M2 student. Recently decided to put all my efforts towards orthopedics.

I have been cold emailing a lot of surgeons at academic institutions but the common block I get from those that respond is that the institution will not grant EMR acess to remote students. The opportunity has to be in person which is not feasible due to my med school being a few states away.

I was thinking about attending a local conference to network and maybe see if that would be fruitful to some extent.

I have had the remote for 1 yr.

I use my own anki cards (Around 11,000 cards in the deck) that I have made instead of AnKing.

I am starting M2 year soon and plan to take Step 1 this coming Feburary.

Would like to practice in top 5 metro area population.

I am completely new to R Programming and am looking to become skilled in it for medical research.

If you could please reccomend a good guide/resource tailored towards beginners, that would be greatly appreciated. Would be great if it provided application/examples applied to the medical/healthcare field.

I have been having dry eye only in my left eye for the last 1.5 years likely due to inflammation of the left plica semilunaris.

I current use the Avira Vitality Toric lenses. While I don't feel the contact lens in my right eye, my left eye can feel the lens which becomes extremely annoying.

Was wondering if switching contact lens brands would be helpful.
