Fields that are hiring? (compared to the rest)

In my environment, every person that has an engineering degree gets a job easily. It might take them two or three months but they have it so easy compared to literally every other industry. I am thinking about going back to school and getting a degree in an engineering field with specific demand (ofc no automobile engineering or similar).

But thats just my bubble, did you make similar observation? Do you think about a pivot?

For me a change would be rather easy, I don´t have kids, I have some savings and a partner that would support me. I know thats not the case for everyone.

What gives you Energy? How do you cope with energy leeches?

I remember when I was beginning 20ties I had more motivation, not even more energy but overall more drive.

Right now I am just so tired. I still have plans, Ideas, do something here and there but I am so worn out. I don´t have children or anything, I wonder how people manage being carers and having a life?

I have big admiration for Dr K, he seems to have endless energy to work on all his projects. How do you do that? I also have many Ideas but after a full day of work, commute, cooking, housework, there is either time for sports, hanging with my partner or my friends or some leisure time and then its time for bed already. Rinse and repeat.

I don´t have the concentration or drive to sit and do something more that is actually work. Sure, I dream of being an artist and I paint or take photos here and there but to become an acual artist it requires WORK. Networking, posting, maintaining a Website, building a reputation, figuring out finance and paperwork, do you know what I mean? I don´t have the energy for that.

BUT there are people who do that without burning out. What is their secret? Like Dr K for example...

(I had a few deficencies like folate or vitamin d that I take supplements for - they help a bit)

Maybe there is a Video already out that you can recommend, either on membership or for free, or you can share your experience.

Thank you!

we should romanticize the hell out of everything.

Lets be excited about stuff and let other people be excited. Lets have dreams and be happy about fulfilling them. We are all grown ups we know that its not disneyland out there. Its just rude to pop bubbles of nice thoughts other people have.

I hope I am allowed to give an example. I live in Europe and was in L.A. when I was younger with my parents. My colleague a few years ago told me about her dreams going to L.A. experiencing venice beach, seeing the hollywood sign all that jazz you think of when you have an Idea from the movies. I did the asshole move and told her "well its not that great, actually you think the hollywood sign is hughe but it looks really small, honestly". And I could see her disappointment with my reaction.

If we experience people being excited about something we should encourage them, ask them what they would think it will be like, what they hope for etc. not judge them for havin unrealistic ideas or hopes. Life sucks, let people have dreams, and dream more yourself. There is no harm going on vacation and try to feel like you are da vinci in florence or something like that.

Dad loosing constantly weight after surgery

My dad is a 6ft tall guy and his weight dropped from 98kg to 65kg in 6 months. He got a big surgery and part of that was cutting a part out of his stomach so its significantly smaller than before.

Do you have recommendations for recipes that are small in portion but high in calorie? He just got cancer free so mcdonalds food is not an option, it should be healthy versions. He is eating a lot of chicken soup, he said that it helps with digestion, too. ofc his whole system is a bit fucked after his belly surgery, so it has to be good and easy digestable food.

Thanks for your help!
