We have a beautiful Blue Merle female, KC registered in the UK with low inbreeding and good health. I am not a registered breeder but would love to have a litter from her as she is the perfect temperament etc. I’ve done a lot of research on the double blue/merle genetics and understand I can only breed with fawn, black or brindle. My question is will fawn and brindle sires throw a lot of non-standard colours? Should we stick with a black or perhaps mantle sire? Like I said, not a professional breeder, just an enthusiastic owner who would love to keep the line going from my perfect girl.
