Advice for a hat for a Roadtrip (South WA)

Hi,

I am planing a roadtrip in December and January from Perth through Esperance, Albany, and Margaret River and I need a hat that handles the sun but won't bail in the wind. (Never been to WA)

I'm leaning toward the Riverina for the big brim, but worried it'll act like a sail at Lucky Bay or Albany.

Does the Riverina hold its own in the coastal breeze, or am I better off with a smaller brim like a Cattleman or a Brumby I already have at home?

Thanks.

Akubra choice for South West roadie? (Wind vs. Sun protection)

I’m absolutely wrapped with this colour — it’s hands down my favourite.

And nah, before you start carrying on, it’s definitely not the fourth thing I’ve copped in this exact shade... (okay, maybe it is, but who’s counting?).

Bloody oath, it's a beauty!

Fair dinkum, sometimes you just need proper Aussie gear when you're trekking across Europe.

The Brumby is a total ripper—tough enough for the long hauls and looks heaps better than a lot of European hats 🇦🇺 🤠
