Artist Proof of a 1997 anime-inspired RHCP silkscreen gig poster for shows that never happened. By artist Jim Evans (TAZ).

I just thought it was cool art from one of my favorite bands, and bought it on ebay years ago.

Apparently these shows never happened because drummer Chad Smith broke his wrist in a motorcycle accident.

I recently bought these 2 framed prints from a rummage sale. The family had a cajun restaurant in Illinois that shut down, and these were hanging in there.

The 9 panels of art on the crawfish one are awesome and pretty funny. I've never been to Mulate's, or Breaux Bridge for that matter, but I love the art on that one as well!

This was an absolute steal not gonna lie. $50 out the door.

I have a feeling that whoever passed away may have worked for Sparta Graphics back then. They were definitely in the poster printing business based on other stuff I found in the sale. This was the only concert poster, but not the only '60s Sparta Graphics poster in the sale (the others were way more $).
