









At some point, a company as established as PSA needs to be held to a higher standard when it comes to actually delivering on what they advertise. And before anyone jumps in with “they say estimated”. Yeah, that’s exactly the problem. Hiding behind that word isn’t a disclaimer, it’s an admission that they can’t reliably forecast their own operation. For a company this size, that’s not acceptable.
If you’re the one putting a date range in front of customers, you own that expectation. Don’t show people a window if you have no confidence you can hit it. Submission after submission running past those ranges isn’t a fluke. It’s a pattern, and it’s a choice.
What’s frustrating is that the fix is so obvious. Build in a buffer. Tell people 60 days, finish in 45. Now the customer feels like they got something. That’s just basic expectation management: under-promise, over-deliver. It’s not a new concept. Businesses have been doing it forever because it works.
Instead, PSA keeps doing the opposite, and the result is a community of collectors constantly refreshing their submission status, frustrated, feeling like they got strung along. For a company that’s supposed to be the gold standard in this hobby, that experience doesn’t match the reputation they want to have.
You don’t have to hate PSA to see this. It’s just a straightforward operational issue that they have every resource in the world to fix.
