Leather cover for lever action rifle buttstock

Been wanting a cover for my Henry Big Boy 357 magnum and looked a lot of that where mass produced and none of them really fit me or my personality. Was tooling around with my wife and was mentions how I would like to find someone local to make one for me. We tossed around ideas and then my amazing better half came up with this design. Sold! Found a great leather worker who loved the concept and just picked it up this morning. Super pleased with it and glad to have this fun cover.

What .357 magnum ammunition do you like to use? What’s reliable for you, what seems to shoot best?

Reviewing the options on the MR website a lot
of what is “approved” seems out of stock everywhere. Any suggestions from you folks?

.347 loads how does this crimp look gang?

Trying these out this week and wanted to see your opinions on my crimp. These are .357 magnum - 158gr CamPro FCP-TC factory seconds I am using Accurate #7 9.6gr and CCI magnum small pistol primers. The crimp is my main concern and will run these through my revolver to check them out. My goal is to be able to use them in my Henry Big Boy.

Any constructive criticism is welcome.

Primer strikes and crimp advice

Hey, I need some constructive criticism on a few reloading issues. First up what is the consensus on the primer strike photo : load was 158gr Raven Rock seconds FCP TC, 5.6gr Accurate #5, Federal primers. Load data was from Lee manual.

Second photo I was wondering if this is too extreme of a crimp? Used Lee Factory Crimp die.

Any input and advice is welcome as long as it’s constructive please.
