This sounds like a stupid question, but why is Heimdall such of well.. a sociopath?

Now this does sound like a silly question but hear me out, i am aware of how he can read the minds of others and that whole dialogue where he states all he sees are liars, i have played the games and i am aware of this dude’s character

But also i’ve seen some people say he was a dick to Atreus because well he saw Atreus as a bratty yet still credible threat to the safety of Asgard. But then why does he treat Thor as well as his daughter Thrud like absolute shit? I get that in the norse AND greek pantheon the gods were known for their family drama, and especially in these games having the aesir as your family must be insufferable at times. But this dude doesn’t seem to respect anyone besides Odin, but even thats only because Odin is the most wicked villain in this saga and a guy who abuses his kids and makes his son Thor feel absolutely worthless, so i’m not surprised hes essentially groomed his son Heimdall into maintaining utmost loyalty to him. And even if you dont think Heimdall was a son of Odin in this game, Odin is still known to treat everyone like this so even if he isn’t literally family to Odin my point stands.

But even with the whole mind reading shtick, other gods in this saga have experienced or put up with arguably far worse (Like Baldur) and have kept some level of decency or respect for even certain people, i mean Baldur didn’t seem to pick on Magni and Modi like Heimdall did Thrud

So like again, why is this dude such a little bastard to his own people who he claims to Atreus he wants to protect from ‘trouble’

Which NPC do you like most (In terms of just morals)

If I’m honest Enia is my favourite npc for these reasons: Gives you remembrance stuff and boss equipment, gives you a talisman pouch, minds her own business at the roundtable, and by the end no matter your goals wether its the frenzied flame or the age of stars, even if your goal goes against everything the two fingers stand for, she still has support for you, her last lines ‘Now go forth, do what you believe is right’ are very touching to me, she doesn’t say what you are doing is wrong or right, just for you to do what you believe is best. She went from being loyal to the two fingers to helping you till the end

I was pretty sad when she died
Underrated ally

But whats your favourite npc

Which do you prefer? Chaos or the Frenzied Flame?

What i mean is what do you prefer more in terms of lore, gameplay, bosses, or even just aesthetic. Because the Frenzied Flame is clearly inspired a bit by Chaos from the dark souls series, considering Elden Ring does try take elements from all souls games in my opinion
