An extra fan

An extra fan

I'm thinking about putting a little 90mm Noctua fan here as intake

Current fan setup:

Top right intake

Top left exhaust

Rear exhaust

My temps aren't bad, tbf. 39⁰c when idle and 60⁰c when playing Elden Ring. I just figure dragging a little more fresh air in can't hurt

Worth doing?

Motherboard

So I'm considering picking up the 385 version of the Framework Desktop motherboard, and I'm looking for suggestions for a small cheap case that will fit the motherboard, the cooler fan, and an SFX psu

For context, I'm planning on buliding a living room gaming console... basically a Steam Machine

Cheers 🍻

Bazzite Machine

So i finally bulit my SFF/MFF PC.

I was going to wait for the Steam Machine. But in the months since it was announced, it has become pretty clear that the Steam Machine is going to be extremely overpriced for the rather anaemic specs its packing

So I decided to bulid my own Steam Bazzite Machine

Specs:

Case: Alamengda v500 (For the love of god, don't buy this case. Awful QC and terrible airflow)

GPU: Sapphire technology Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT

CPU: R5 7600x

RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5

SSD: WD\_BLACK SN7100 2TB

PSU: CORSAIR SF750

Motherboard: ASRock B650M PG Riptide

CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 MINI

Case fans: 2x Thermalright TL-C12C X3. 1x Thermalright TL-P9W

Operating System: BazziteOS

I love it, but really avoid this case, lol

I'm going to try undervolting the CPU a touch just to help with temperature.

39⁰c when idle

70⁰c when gaming but can shoot up to 80⁰c for a couple of seconds when loading

Gamemode

I installed Bazzite on my first ever PC a little while back and have been absolutely loving it. Zero issues so far.

The only thing is just got myself an HDMI cable long enough to run to my TV. So I'm wondering if there is a way I can tac on the handheld daemon (Steam Deck gamemode)? Being able to just use my controller to navigate would be handhy in my living room. Basically, trying to turn the PC into a Bazzite Steam Machine lol

Cheers 🍻

Fleetbattles

In the slow process of buliding a new UNSC fleet.

Only a few ships so far, but hopefully, by the end of the month, I'll have some Marathons, Halcyons, Halberds, a Valiant, a couple Orions, and a load more Paris class heavy frigates

Looking forward to painting them

Currently using this Uperfect portable monitor hooked up my Legion Go S (SteamOS) via a Jsaux 6in1 docking station.

For whatever reason, I can't seem to get VRR to enable in SteamOS on this monitor, and it's distractingly noticeable.

I'm not sure if that feature is simply incompatible on this monitor for if it's a docking station issue

Additional details:

The monitor is connected to power and the Legion Go/dock is plugged into the monitor via mini HDMI

Any advice, ideas, or help would be greatly appreciated as i don't want to have buy another monitor lol
