Makaut new attendance criteria and CA marking system

Ok so I'm making this post cause I'm seeing many students panicking regarding the new attendance issue.

  1. You have to attend all the CA's for the internal marks. There are 3 CA's, 2 are written test and avg of two of the written tests will be considered for one part of the 10 marks (total 3 part of 10 marks= total 30 marks from the internal exams)

  2. The ECA is the online portal based CA exam same as the CA-4 we used to have. It will have 25 marks.

  3. WCA is based on your attendance and class assessment.

  4. The first part (avg of CA 1 and 2) and the WCA part are in the hands of your college so total 20 marks of internal depends on the college.

  5. The ECA depends on your online exam

  6. The formula to find marks allotted out of 10 is {marks obtained out of 25 (avg marks considered for CA 1&2 or the part one) / full marks (25) } × 10. For ECA it remains the same but instead of avg of CA 1&2 we just take the marks obtained in the online exam then divide it by 25 and them multiply with 10.

  7. Is the attendance mandatory for CA? No!!!The attendance is only mandatory for the end sem exam and your avg attendance will be considered, making that 75% is not that hard.

Before this when CA's were not mandatory and the best of 2 or 4 rule was there, some colleges used to impose the rule of maintaining attendance to get marks in CA's but now that the CA's are mandatory, if your college imposes the same rule then it is solely a fault of your college and your college is retarded

Need to unite (fr this time)

  1. If makaut wants 75% attendance= Provide well trained faculty who are aware about recent industry level tech and provide smart classrooms

  2. If 75% attendance is mandatory for scholarship= Provide the transportation fee of that student and make sure to pay the semester fee of the eligible candidate as he/she has the merit to get the scholarship but not the free time waste in classrooms

  3. If exams are going to be conducted the same as before= Investigate the corrupt makaut officials and the VC. Then publish the report

I ask the group of ppl who made mail to makaut and other government officials to conduct a protest cause it's now or never

The shit hath hitith the fanith

There was recently a mail sent to makaut and other officials as posted in this sub

But the new rules like 75% mandatory attendance and stuff like 3 internals and these bullshit exams are really annoying. Even CU is better than this atp.

I'm really done with all this shit, just want to spend the next few years somehow and get out of this retard ass university. I mean look at these retarded officials, individuals probably at their end stage of life or maybe going through their mid life crisis. Egoistic corrupt assholes.

You expect attendance when your own faculty is incapable of teaching properly and your own system is broken.

I'm also fed up with the zombie ass students. They serve no purpose and their life serves no purpose, their existence has no meaning. One big protest will end their career as they think. I mean in Bengal you think that you'll have a career 🤣

No signs of protest and no signs of humanity in the affiliated colleges, everyone is daydreaming about getting a 12 lakh package

Makaut exam circlejerk

Since all of our exams have already ended and most of us are going through semester break, now is the high time to protest since some of the juniors are also thinking about joining this ret#rded uni

Here are some few points I'd like to point out:

  1. No transparency in conducting the examination. There's no written marks distribution or any info about that available at even the official makaut website. (Such system only works where the class teacher makes the question paper for his/her students so he/she can put more weightage on the topics he/she covered properly in the class)

  2. Paranoid rules in exam centre. The rule that students are not allowed to keep backpack in the exam building is just early signs of paranoia from the exam cell. Also monitoring the washroom breaks are like some 1984 stuff.

  3. Makaut in-house students are treated differently and faar better, than those in affiliated colleges. (In every aspect)

  4. The entire paper leaking system is backed up by the corrupt and dishonest faculties and official individuals. Still they won't investigate them and we students suffer for their wrong doings. They keep imposing the rules on us and show no signs of accountability.

These restrictions protect the overwhelming majority who study and write honestly, so that their certification is not devalued by a small minority. The bar on electronic devices removes the means of receiving unauthorised assistance or circulating a question paper; fixed entry windows and the bar on late entry/campus presence prevent impersonation and substitution; the single, escorted short break, recorded in a Short Break Record Book, closes the window for unauthorised introduction or removal of material; and CCTV surveillance address the same risk of concealment not the honest examinee. Students with credible information on any leakage attempt are encouraged to report it to the Office of the Controller of Examinations through notified channels; such reports will be treated with appropriate confidentiality.

Now let's Suppose that you are a studious person who wants to secure good cgpa for some reason. You had studied the entire semester and all night before the exam. You are tired and you want a toilet break. You are about to ask for it and suddenly the invigilator enters and says that no toilet breaks are allowed as the question paper got leaked. You have left your phone in your bag which is at some seperate building, there's no way that you are cheating or trying to, you just want a toilet break, you don't have diabetes to get special permission, you are just tired.

What precautions does the incapable exam cell have taken for such situations?

The rules are only made to make the avg student suffer and make them fail in the exam so that the university can make money from the ppr submissions and backlog exams just like they are already making by leaking the paper themselves

Need to expose

Reposting for reach and to expose makaut to the students who are thinking about taking admissions in it

CA= continuous assessment or the internal exams you can say

Yes! We have 4 internal exams per semester which pop up every 2 weeks gap and you don't get enough time to prepare for any of those

To all the teens in this sub and the adults lurking here. If you or anyone you know is even slightly thinking about taking admission in makaut. Just warn them and show them this post

Need to Unite

• The entire marking process of CA's are not transparent, the whole thing runs on words of mouth.

• Today we saw some inhumane things like stopping students from having a bio break just because of the university's incompetence.

• There's no way that we can check the marks we were allotted out of 5 of the 30 marks which consists of 25 CA marks.

• There's no proper weightage distribution on each of the modules of the subjects. The marks are also not distributed in a healthy manner.

• The syllabus is backdated. Like why should an CS or IT guy get harassed by the mentally insane faculties of Mechanical department.

• In some semesters there's 8 months and in some there's time as low as 3 months.

• why 4 CA when 2 CA should be enough. In a semester containing avg 4-5 months there's no time to prep for each of the CA's. It's like somewhere in a 2 weeks gap and another CA exam pops up.

I'm asking to all the affiliated college students and the students from the main campus to unite and stand against these things. If we silently gulp down all these things then the university will keep pressuring us. Even our schools weren't this strict. What are they showing this strictness for? There's no placement cause the backdated syllabus is incapable of producing job perfect employees.

I'm not from any political party or any group. I'm just a socially awkward and introvert guy who just can't take this anymore. Why don't you guys protest against this academic oppression which produces nothing fruitful. Why are you guys so silent. Why don't you guys file a RTI or do peaceful protests. Are you all just some spineless filthy rags?
