Hi everyone,

I’m planning a solo/possibly with friend 1-week pre monsoon trip from Bangalore to Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar sometime soon and would love some budget travel advice from people who’ve been there recently.

I’m looking for suggestions on:

• Cheapest/best way to travel from Bangalore (train vs flight + local transport)
• Budget stays/hostels in Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun
• Places worth visiting without spending too much
• Good local food spots that are affordable
• How many days to spend in each place
• Best way to travel between the three cities
• Safe areas for budget travelers/solo travelers
• Any scams or tourist traps to avoid
• Suggestions for river rafting, cafés, temples, trekking, sunsets, or hidden spots

Current rough idea:

• Rishikesh – 3 days
• Haridwar – 2 days
• Dehradun – 2 days

Trying to keep the whole trip budget-friendly including stay, travel, and food.

A few office friends and I are planning a relaxed weekend hangout and are looking for a decent 1BHK or service apartment for 1–2 nights. Mainly looking for a clean and safe place where we can chill, order food, play games/music, and spend some quality time together.

Preferences:

• Preferably near Metro Stations
• Flexible check-in/check-out would be great
