Lights dim in one room after power surge

100yo house which was somewhat updated in the 80's or 90's before we moved in. 100amp panel. The easy to replace stuff is romex, some of the walls and ceilings still have the cloth coated wire with ground. And a couple places cloth coated wire without ground.

We lost power for 30 seconds and now the light fixture in one room is dim, all 3 led bulbs in the fixture equal output of about a third of normal. I just checked the whole rest of the house and it seems fine. Dmm shows one socket at 106VAC and others at 110...

And 15min later my kid forgot and flipped the switch again and it's back to normal...what? Lol any ideas what on earth that was about?

EDIT Now reading 116v but I highly doubt 6V makes that big a difference?

New ice maker not dumping

Hi All,

My 10+yo fridge had the ice maker fail, and of course they don't sell just the tray. So I bought a new module for 200 big ones and installed it. Everything lined up pretty well, LG updated the part since my fridge was made so it's a newer part number but again if slid right in.

But it never dumps. I can hold the button on the bottom and force it to dump and it's great, dumps, resets and fills with water again immediately....but then it holds onto the ice again and never dumps it.

I'm guessing maybe the bucket full sensor is somehow being tripped when it shouldn't be but I would appreciate help determining if that's definitely so.

I am hoping I can keep the newer module but I'm almost at the point where I'll just remove the tray and swap it into the old one...
