3 weeks on accutane
I have a long way to go still on my accutane journey but I am currently 3 weeks in. I’m already seeing progress!

I had TE about 15 years ago when I took the depo shot. overtime I stopped shedding the “bulbs” and even though my hair never 100% recovered my full density, I shed normal amounts now. However, I started accutane 3 weeks ago and so far I’m okay but I know accutane can cause TE as well. Are there any supplements I can take to “get ahead” of it to prevent it? Anything else I can do? I know I might not have the same experience but I want to be proactive.
not seemingly medical advice- I plan to call my provider when they open. I’m just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I’m having pain at the base of my skull where my neck and head meet. it’s one sided and I can barely turn my head or I’m in pain. Has anyone had this?
When I first got long covid there was almost no one who could relate. I remember looking at every website I could find looking for something, thinking maybe I was crazy. Fast forward to today and almost every group I’m in has at least one person reaching out for help. I’m in a mom group on Facebook for our small neighborhood and someone just posted today asking about a doctor that can help them with long covid. I sadly thing the prevelance is increasing. Hopefully this means more help is on the way…
I just started my accutane yesterday and I read the instructions that said don’t take the mini pill with accutane. I’m currently on Slynd and my doctor never mentioned anything about it. In fact, when asked my 2 forms I told him this one and he was fine with it. Has anyone else been on on Slynd? ChatGPT is telling me Slynd is a different form of the mini pill and should be okay too.
tell me your experiences on accutane, good or bad. I want to hear.
