Great Article on Felix Sabates

David Newton wrote a great piece for ESPN about former NASCAR owner Felix Sabates back in 2007. Some funny quotes and an amazing story about Bill France Jr. and smoking. Worth the read for sure

IndyCar Other "Crown Jewels"

As a lifelong IndyCar fan, one thing I've noticed is that compared to other series, IndyCar has way less "crown jewel" races and major accomplishments to get.

For example, along with the championships in each respective series, NASCAR has the Daytona 500, Winston 500, Coke 600, Brickyard 400, Southern 500, Bristol night race and the All Star Race. F1 has the Monoco GP, British GP at Silverstone and the Italian GP at Monza. IMSA has the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans. WEC has Le Mans, 6 Hours of Spa and the 6 Hours of Imola.

Obviously the Indianapolis 500 is king and nothing will top it, but aside from it and the Astor Cup, what other majors are there to win in IndyCar?

Absolutely love his commentary. The IMSA booth as a whole is good but Fish is great. Knows what he's talking about, shows legit excitement & enthusiasm without going overboard and of course, "Argy Bargy." Adds so much to a broadcast
