Where to sell scrap copper tubing?
I just took down some copper tubing from my basement that was used decades ago by an old central A/C unit (that hasn't worked in many, many years). It sorta fits in the cardboard box in the picture. Not having any use for this spare copper, I want to sell it.
I've never sold scrap metal before. Where should I go? I'm on the west side, so preferably a place in Gates/Greece/Chili.
I see that there's a Metallico location on Scottsville Road that might be the closest to me. How are they? What do I do? Just show up during business hours, haul in the box, and request cash?
Other places that might be as good or better?
Before anyone asks, this is legally my property-- no nefarious shady things going on here, so I when I go to sell it to a legitimate business, I'm hoping that it'll be the same. Sure I can show ID if needed.
