Hi everybody,
I have a ZOOM L-8 & a Tascam Model 12. Both are awesome & I've made some fun recordings with both.
Currently, my Tascam is out of commission because of some technical issues, but the L-8 is still going strong. However, I've noticed that the Tascam has a natural depth to its sound that the L-8 simply doesn't have. Playing something directly through the Model 12 immediately sounds awesome, but the L-8 is somehow lacking.
Are there multi-channel preamps, or some kind of outboard mixer I can add into the signal chain to make my mixes more immediate on the L-8? Perhaps some kind of compressors or reverbs?
Before anyone says I should try things like mic placement & other situational things like that, please know that's my bread & butter. I use as little gear as absolutely possible, so I'm not just purchasing equipment willy-nilly.
