Fixed the Crazy Taxi World trailer by cutting it down to 60 seconds

Sega's trailer for Crazy Taxi World started off so promising, but really petered out at the end. I'm a video editor and animator by trade so I've attempt at repairing the trailer by tightening things up a bit.

Main changes are as follows:

  • Pacing: kept the pedal to the metal through the entire video
  • Re-arranged some scenes to better match music
  • Flipped CG scene to match car jump
  • Had song actually end instead of trailing/cutting off mid-verse
  • Animated title slate at the end to match the energy of the rest of the trailer
  • Added some Crazy Taxi fan service at the end

The whole edit session to around 45 minutes for all the changes (including the animation).

The origins of wage theft

Saw a post yesterday regarding tipping and wage theft. Reminded me of this video a friend and I made last year about how companies have been using the same exploitative, obsolete system since the Civil War.

The plan is to turn these into a series of Schoolhouse Rock style videos that explain the origin of several of today's ills and how they can be tracked back to systems of exploitation that have been in place for centuries.
