Chevy 3.1 advice?

Besides ripping it out and putting in a 3.8. The engine has just over 108k and is suffering from the usual lower intake gasket leak. I have the parts, fluids, and tools. Videos show it isn't "too" difficult, but my biggest worry is putting things back in the right places. So if you're done this job before, do you have any advice? Saving grace is my 2 days off work are always together so I can take my time.

Spark Plug Gap?

So I have a 99 Chevy with the 3.1 that needs the lower intake gaskets redone. Well, since the engine will be apart, I figured to do plugs and wires. Plugs when I look them up say .60 Gap like what my book says, but I also see ones that are .44. Now Google doesn't tell me much but did something change over the years? Is there a benefit of having the smaller gap???

So decided to stream for once since I had time for once. Track 1 is the VOD so everything that gets streamed. Track 2 is the PC audio and Track 3 is supposed to be my mic. This all worked before but suddenly Track 3 won't record. However if I set pc and mic to Track 2 it magically works. I deleted everything and started over and it didn't work. Putting everything on Track 2 is my last resort cause I don't know what else to even try.
