This has happened to me a few times, but this one was especially frustrating. A customer reached out wanting to buy something from my shop. Normally, I only ship within a certain area, but they were outside that range. Since shipping would’ve cost me more and cut into my profit, I asked for their address so I could calculate the exact cost and adjust the listing for them. I responded really quickly within two minutes and let them know I was willing to make the exception. I updated the shipping price specifically for them and told them it was ready. But right after that, they completely stopped responding. Days went by, and they never followed through with the purchase. What makes it more frustrating is that we had about a 20-minute conversation, and I dropped what I was doing to help them right away. It just feels like a waste of time when someone initiates everything and then suddenly disappears without any explanation. I wasted my time weighing the box, getting the size of my box, calculating the shipping cost, confirming with the seller if they were ok with the shipping cost than updating the listing for them just not to purchase.
