A month ago I only had a baguette…

My first jellycat was the baguette that I got last fall but the addiction really began when I was gifted a cinnamon bun 3 weeks ago… since then I’ve gotten 18 more with 3 on the way 😅. I told myself no more but I can’t stop!!! I need to build more real estate for them first 😅.

Said I’d only get one but left with 7 😅

I went to NYC over the weekend and I said I’d only get the pancake stack but I ended up with 7 new jellycats 😅. I want to F.A.O. Schwarz, Nordstrom flagship, MoMa Design store, and Posman Books. The only NYC exclusive that was available at F.A.O. Schwarz was Rufferty Junior. I really wanted the milkshake :(

How do you stop the food noise?

Recently my food noise has been pretty bad where it keeps me up at night at times and I end up caving in. I’m trying to do a 24 hr fast right now and I can’t stop it. The day feels like it is dragging on even though work is busy I find myself randomly losing focus and thinking about food and watching the minutes pass by.

Events happening in San Juan?

Is there an instagram or something that posts any local events that are happening in San Juan?

I’d like to meet more people in places that don’t involve drinking as I’m not a drinker and prefer to be out and about during the day.

San Juan Puerto Rico recommendations?

I am taking my first solo trip to Puerto Rico. I’ll be in Condado and Carolina for the most part. I am not planning on renting a car but open to renting for a day or two to travel outside of San Juan.

I am going to be staying for about a month. I work remote and will spend majority of it working. I’m not sure what to expect as i’ve never been before and have always traveled with family & friends.

I’m excited to embark on a journey of my own but i’m feeling ignorantly blissful and have made no solid plans. Just vibes lol.

What do you all suggest are things that are must see/do? What would you NOT recommend?

For reference, I do enjoy eating different foods. I don’t enjoy drinking or clubbing/bars. I come from a town in New England with a large Puerto Rican population so I’ve had my fair share of PR dishes but would love to get some recommendations for places here. I have no food allergies. I am Southeast Asian so I very much enjoy my food spicy but I understand most PR food is not spicy. I live an active lifestyle despite a desk job, I try to walk 10-20k steps daily so if I could walk to places from Condado, that is my preferred mode of transportation. I am thinking of taking drop in classes for Pilates or lagree if there are studios suggested. My only concern is if they’re teaching in Spanish I won’t understand 😅. My comprehension is limited.

If there are some free or cheap recommendations I’d love to hear them. For now I plan to spend most of my days just aimlessly roaming and relaxing on the beach but being here for a month, I have lots of time to do that and looking to fill my time with other things that I can’t do elsewhere.

I’d love to hear what some of you have done here if you don’t mind sharing your itineraries. I’m excited to visit and explore Puerto Rico ❤️. Thank you in advance!

Edit: if anyone is visiting end of June/early July and want to hang out I am open to it. I am 31F and willing to share my instagram/tiktok via DM/PM.

Fasting 7 days+ and walking

Anyone who has done 7 days or longer of fasting did you still walk? I’m going to attempt my first 7 day fast and may go longer idk but I want to still walk 10k+ steps daily if I can, but curious who else has and what were your results? How did you feel? Did you have enough energy?

Canker sore turned blood blister

I’ve never gotten canker sores before. I’ve had one for the last few weeks. Over two weeks now. It could go away and come back. Now it’s like a blood blister. I didn’t bite it but I did have spicy food and that’s when I felt it getting bigger. What do I do?? Just over two weeks ago I accidentally bit it really hard and ended up biting off the white puss. Then it was an open wound and it was fine but this week the canker sore came back and now this… HELP it hurts and I don’t even want to eat until this goes away 😭

I physically feel fine but mentally I want to eat. I won’t and I’m going to go to sleep since it’s bed time anyway but MAN I hope I survive tomorrow. Two more sleeps until I break this fast 🤞

Edit: woop woop we resisted the temptations and now there’s less than 24 hours left! Not sure what I want to have to break this fast. Probably a miso soup since I have ingredients on hand.

Nearly halfway through my first 5 day fast. I’ve attempted it countless times but struggled to get past 48 or 72 but right now I’m feeling good. I feel energized and excited to get to the end. I walked 10k steps today. I didn’t yesterday. When I’m not fasting I average 15-20k steps daily. I’m trying to take it easy right now; though I sort of want to weight train. Work has been keeping me busy this week so I haven’t had a lot of time to sit around thinking about food. I’m down 3 lbs so far. Curious where I’ll be at 72, 96, and 120.

Folks who maintained or sustained steady weight loss from fasting: how did you do it? How did your lifestyle change to keep weight off or continue losing weight? How long did you fast and what did your re-feed look like? How much did you lose from fasting? How often are you fasting now?
