I have a girlfriend who is ready to move in with me and we are always on the same page except about her cat. I am allergic so after a few days we removed the cat from my bedroom but It seems the cat LOVES that room. constantly scratching and clawing at the door all night and ripping the carpet underneath. It is a good cat during the day and I like to be around it but I cannot breath if I sleep in the same room as the little thing. My girlfriend sees her stressed cat and has a maternal drive for her pet and feels like she cannot move in. Is there anything I can do to make the cat stop trying to get in the room?

She (the cat)wants to get into the bedroom to 1) sit under the bed, 2)access the crawlspace that accesses the bathroom and 3) she is used to sleeping with my girlfriend at their old place.

I have another guest room that has a space under the bed maybe 14 inches high, the bed in my room is maybe 9 inches high, could this be that big of a deal to the cat or is there something else. My allergies will not go away so I have to find a way the cat stops meowing and scratching at the door all night acting crazy to try to get in the room, please help
