People incorrectly coinflate being emotional with lack of control.

I hear quite often about being "emotional" is considered bad. Which never made sense to me as to be genuinely lacking in emotions, one would have to be a robot.

Often the context is that by being emotional, you are seceding power. You get upset and so you have lost the power in the argument. You are not taken seriously now.

I hear a lot of men saying this. I myself am a man and I definitely consider myself to be emotional. I get happy, sad, angry and excited. I may not necessarily express them all the time but I absolutely feel them. I find a lot of men who say they are never emotional are often angry but for whatever reason, they do not consider it to be an emotion.

It's only if a person is crying or hysterical, it's considered emotional. If someone is calm cool and collected, they are not considered emotional. Despite the fact calmness is an emotion.

Being emotional is not seceding power, it's a fundamental tenet of human life.

Ramble over.

We're looking at getting electrical appliances for our kitchen and utility room for our new house.

I've never bought them before in general and would love some recommendations in Limerick city. Budget is approximately 10,000.

I finished my first degree about 10 years ago but it wasn't the right fit and always felt like an imposter doing it.

Decided three years ago to go back to university to study what I actually like and finished it up. Today, I have just been accepted into a master's program that is in the top 15 in the world for my field.

I am still in shock.
