Acemans in the wild

So in 11 months I have not come across another Aceman in Sydney, this weekend another JCW in red at the traffic lights and this one parked around the corner from an Italian restaurant in Concord.

Tires or Tyres

Greetings fellow mini peoples, a question for ACEMAN owners (JCW). I need to replace the tires already 8650kms. The fronts are further worn as expected than the rear , not by much. The tyres fitted from the factory are Hancook Ion evo.

  1. What tires are fitted to your joy mobile from the factory?
  2. How many miles/kms are you getting.

Last car Audi A1 40tsfi, same roads , same driver sold the car with 35k km and the tyres looks to be 50% worn. Surely good for another 15k km.
My X3M, I changed the tyres at 58k km.

Something does not add up.
Any feedback appreciated.

Locking mini.

My Mini Aceman turns one on Friday from the date of manufacture, going in for a routine check-service. Since the last update I noticed the car locking itself while the key or IOS device was in the car. I get into the car with either in my pockets and whilst putting on the seat belt the car would lock itself. On Saturday my partner put her handbag on the passenger seat, closed the door and proceeded to get to the drivers side and the car locked itself while the physical car and iPhone both inside.

Surely a glitch of the IOT world.

I did some basic repair work for a friend on a 2014 Cooper and luckily I had the windows down key in the ignition slot the car locked itself while self.

Has anyone experienced this, one car surely a glitch but two cars 11 years apart?

My X3 G01 has never had this issue.
