Today I realised 70k per month is deducted towards EPF
So far I thought my monthly EPF deduction was 35k. I came across this subreddit today and saw so many people venting about EPFO. So, decided to check the site and was shocked to see it was 35k + 35k contribution per month.
If I have no need for that money immediately, is it a bad idea to leave it as it is? Or, should I request my company to reduce the EPF contribution to bare minimum i.e 1800, if possible?
I can think of this as my debt component. I already do monthly SIPs into Equity index funds and arbitrage funds, but no debt funds due to taxation at slab. This can act as my debt component if it's not risky to leave it as it is.
