This is the least fun I've had during a grind. It's horrible.
Hades' underworld of suffering is by far one of the most boring and unfair sections in the whole game. I had a good pace and was having fun through the wrath of olympus levels until I reached hell. The wisp currency is a good concept but it was executed so poorly, like why do I have to go through 4 different events just to get a chance to catch the styx angler.?
The wisp haunt increases your odds of catching a wisp to 1/4, which is not bad, but WHY DOES IT LAST TWO MINUTES? This lowers your wisps per wisp haunt so much, for example while making this post, I caught two while catching 15 fish. It's so pointless, like just fish with the 12% chance.
The soul pool is better in my opinion, but still unfair, because you need to catch 25 DARK WISPS to spawn a soul scourge. The concept of feeding wisps to the tombstones with a 20% chance to spawn the soul pool and paying to see it is cool I guess, but why 6 minutes when the full pool route takes 9? You have to pay twice and potentially waste 3 minutes of soul vision. As I said, 25 dark wisps to spawn a soul scourge is a lot, but you could do it in three separate soul pools.
The soul scourge decreases your control and resilience to 1/3 of its original value, which I'm not a fan of, but it makes catching fish here more fun. But my last straw is that to summon the styx angler, you have to get 15 dark wisps during the event that last 10 minutes. It's practically impossible to do so, as you need to do THE WHOLE THING AGAIN: wait for wisps haunt, catch wisps, spawn soul pool, pay to see the soul pool, catch dark wisps from it and spawn another soul scourge because 10 minutes it's not enough for 15 dark wisps.
This place is diabolical. PD: The dark wisp currency is literally pointless, you only need 25 to get the Hades Soul Scythe.
GW1 forgotten tutorial/demo is WEIRD
So I had to uninstall and reinstall the game to fix my crashing, and I was forced to play the tutorial again, 11 years after the last time I did so. I must say it was... weird.
The tutorial takes place in wallnut hills second garden, and it works by introducing you to one ability for each plant, and having to defend from small waves of three zombies each 15 seconds. During the tutorial you cannot heal, I don't know why. The only way to replenish your health was to respawn. Pressing the menu won't open it, instead it will make you die and choose another plant.
The weirdest thing by far is the cannon that isn't there on the normal map. Instead of launching you normally, like the driftwood shores cannons on the last phase, you can get a lot higher than that one. The flight is interrupted after like 8 seconds and you start falling after that. It still has the "Ode to joy" orchestra, but for some reason it's super loud. You can clip out of bounds very easily, by aiming the cannon high enough to tresspass the hidden walls.
Last thing is respawning. Each time you respawn, you skip the cooldown from the character menu and can jump right back to the game. Each time you respawn, your ability instantly reloads, allowing for infinite chili bean bombs. You respawn so fast you can see your past dead bodies. The character menu selection is actually just a camera placed next to the treehouse, so if you place any mines or die there, you will see it from the menu.
Who forgot this?
Genuinely how does this happen (subtittles in enlgish)
This may sound crazy but my father discovered windbombing his own way, without looking at any help/guide
Yes, this is not a joke. We both started playing the game two weeks ago. I finished it a week earlier, and he has already freed the divine beasts, with a slower pace than me.
The thing is one day he was playing with bombs on a shrine and discovered that when you put the two of them together and detonate one, the other would be sent flying. Now I don't know how, but he managed to propel himself using the square one, basically doing a windbomb. He doesn't use internet that much, so I truly believe he found it on his own.
He is abusing it on his playthrough now, as he won't need any other method of transportation, and I discused with him, debating on how it ruins the experience of the game, which he replied "It's a part of the game!". Who is right on this one?
The first wave of GLITCHIES(tm) is here! Remember: you can only get them by selling one of your useless kidneys!
Why did I pick the slowest brawler in the game, am I stupid?
[Stanley's Parable Ultra Deluxe] I am only missing this hell of a trophy, is there any kind of shortcut around this? or I have to waste an entire day?
