Where would you honeymoon for 4 nights with a $5ish k TOTAL budget? Caribbean + amazing water

Getting married in September and trying to plan our honeymoon for September 15–19.

We’re flying from EWR and have about $5,000-6,000 TOTAL for both of us including flights, hotel, food and drinks.

Our #1 priority is an absolutely beautiful beach: white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water and ideally somewhere with very little risk of sargassum/seaweed.

After that:

• Luxury/upscale resort with updated rooms
• Excellent food
• Romantic and relaxing
• Adults-only strongly preferred
• Quiet is completely fine — we don't care about nightlife
• All-inclusive would be great, but we're completely open to a regular hotel if hotel + food/drinks still stays within the total budget

Turks & Caicos is currently our favorite because of Grace Bay. We’ve looked at Beaches Turks but worry it's too kid/family-oriented for a honeymoon. We're also considering Wymara, Grace Bay Club, Seven Stars (seems too high with budget including food/drinks) and some adults-only all-inclusives elsewhere in the Caribbean.

We’ve already been to Aruba, prefer no St Lucia.

If this were your honeymoon and you had our budget, where would you go?

Especially interested in hearing from anyone who honeymooned in Turks or elsewhere in the Caribbean in September. Resort recommendations and what you actually spent would be really helpful.

Best luxury adults-only AI for honeymoon around $5k total? Amazing beach + food are priorities

My fiancée and I are looking for a 4-night honeymoon September 15–19, flying from EWR. Budget is ideally $5ishk TOTAL for both of us including flights.

Looking for:

• Adults-only strongly preferred
• True 5-star/luxury feel with nice, update d rooms
• All-inclusive
• Amazing crystal-clear turquoise beach
• Minimal sargassum/seaweed risk is VERY important
• Excellent food
• Romantic/relaxing rather than a party resort
• We don't care much about nightlife

Turks & Caicos is our first choice because we love the water. Beaches Turks looks like it could fit the budget, but we're hesitant because it seems extremely family/kid-oriented for a honeymoon.

If you had $5-6k total including flights from EWR for these dates, where would you go?

We’ve already been to Aruba, and I'm hesitant about Mexico/DR in September because I really don't want to gamble on sargassum.

Would love recommendations from people who have actually stayed at these resorts, especially thoughts on food and beach quality.

Honeymoon in September ~5k total budget, Turks preferred. Best resort with amazing beach + food? Can be AI or not

My fiancée and I are looking for a 4-night honeymoon from September 15–19, flying out of EWR.

Our total budget is around $5,000 for BOTH of us, ideally including flights, hotel, food and drinks. We’re open to either all-inclusive or a regular hotel as long as the total cost realistically stays around that range.

Our biggest priorities are:

• Beautiful crystal-clear turquoise water and white sand
• Very little/no sargassum or seaweed
• Excellent food
• Nice, upscale/luxury rooms and resort
• Romantic/honeymoon atmosphere
• Adults-only or at least not overly kid/family-oriented would be preferred (not hard line)
• We don't care much about nightlife or partying

Turks & Caicos is our first choice because we love the look of Grace Bay. We looked at Beaches, but we're worried it may feel too family/kid-oriented for a honeymoon. We’ve also looked at Wymara, Seven Stars, Grace Bay Club, etc., but once food and drinks are added I'm not sure what is realistic within our total budget....

For anyone who has done Turks recently, what would you recommend for this budget? And if non-AI, roughly how much did you actually spend per day for two people on food/drinks?

Also open to another Caribbean island if there's somewhere that fits this better, but we’ve already been to Aruba.

Thanks!

- Struggling fiance

Best timing for my proposal photo shoot today? Please help I really want to make it special.

Hey guys, really need your help. I have a proposal and photography session that I schedule from 750pm to 850pm in weehawken/right in front of nyc skyline. I figured popping the question about 20-30 mins before sunset (8:19 today) would give the best pictures for lighting etc. but I also have come across a bunch of pictures of later in the night that I find visually appealing for the city lights… I do get a full hour session of photography with a professional from 7:50-8:50 but since today’s the big day I wanted to ask your expert opinions on if I should ask to change it to 8pm-9pm?

I’m really not that good with photography timings in terms of what would look best as our actually proposal picture (me on my knee) but I chose this block since it would be 30 before and 30 after for different lightings. But today’s the big day and I just want everything to go perfect/get the best pics in terms of timing.

I spent way too much on this (over my budget) since we have hectic schedules and I wanted to make this special for her. I just want to get the best advice before asking the coordinators to start 10 mins later or more / earlier.

Thank you so so much !
