What are the best resorts or rentals to stay at with a 21m old? We were big sandals people (1-2x/yr) prior to having a baby but haven’t been since and wanting to take a last minute long weekend trip this summer. We absolutely want to do a big beaches trip in a few years but having a hard time deciding for this year. A 4 night trip would be about $5-6k next month or there’s a ton of Airbnb’s for a fraction of that,

Is beaches worth it at this age? Alternatively are there rentals with private pools that are kid-friendly enough and close to restaurants/shops/beach accesses?

I'm going to Turk and Caicos tomorrow and wanted to know if there are any good brunch spots open on Sunday near Grace Bay?

My partner and I are doing a week in Providenciales for our anniversary and I've been trying to figure out where to eat. There's so many options and I honestly can't tell which reviews are real anymore. We're not super fancy people but we'd like at least one or two nicer dinners, and maybe a good casual spot for seafood. Any personal favorites or places you'd actually go back to would be really helpful.....

Hi all! It's almost here- we got married in December and leaving for our honeymoon July 14 for 6 days. We are staying at the seven stars hotel and are so excited as we have heard such amazing things ! I have a few restaurants booked for the week but no excursions yet. Any tips/ tricks/recommendations for food, excursions , how much cash to
Bring etc - anything would be appreciated !

I definitely know we want to snorkel but I want to see dolphins ! Is there any specific company or excursion where you might see than more than the other ?

My husband and I are going to Turks and Caicos for 5 nights, 6 days for a baby moon. I am looking at three places:

1. Alexandra Resort - All inclusive ($3,942)
2. West Bay Club - Breakfast included ($2,274)
3. Windsong on the Reef - Breakfast included ($2,360)

Prices include all the taxes and fees for all nights. Any recommendations? I’ll be around 22-23 weeks pregnant. I’m leaving towards Alexandra cause it also includes all inclusive access to its sister resort Blue Haven! I think if we went with the other two, if we did dinner and a snacks everyday it would add up to cost of Alexandra, but at least we have options for other places.

We don’t mind renting a car and plan to do some excursions. Appreciate the help here!

Hey all! We’re planning our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos at the beginning of December and are looking at staying at Seven Stars. I was wondering if anyone has booked transportation through the hotel or if you’d recommend arranging something else instead? I know Uber isn’t a thing there, so I’d love any advice from people who’ve been.
Also open to any tips, must-do activities, or things to be aware of while we’re there!

First I’ll say, we’ve (family of 5, 3 teenagers) been to some great beaches and we actually live near a great beach as well, Grace Bay is up at the top of any pure beach experience we’ve had. The sand is perfect, the water is pleasantly cold (much cooler than the pool temps even) in June while the temps overall are pretty scorching.

We chose Grace Bay club and a 3bdr villa. The room was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. Housekeeping kept us diligently stocked with lots of canned water every day and kept the room clean throughout as well as doing turn down every night.

The resort is also very nice in general with multiple restaurants available. Infiniti was the best restaurant for dinner with great sushi and seafood options. They also had a chili crab pasta that my kids loved.

Our concierge Ramsey was incredibly helpful and always made sure to either message us or come find us daily to see how he could help. He setup dinner reservations, taxis, and was available for whatever we needed. Great perk of staying at GB club.

We booked a boat day, tubing, horseback riding and a bone fishing trip and then we had mixed in chill days where we just sat at the beach or pool.

If there’s a downside to GB club I would say that the service in general is very slow. Breakfast at the Grill was disappointing in general. The food is fine, not great, but the servers are just generally not super attentive. We failed to get what we ordered one of the days, so we grabbed some things from the buffet, and just ended up leaving.

I understand island time, and our expectations are probably high, but for the price we paid to stay there, I think expectations should be high.

They had bikes at the resort to take which was very nice, the only problem was that there were never enough for all 5 of us. Bummer.

Eating in Turks is super expensive but we loved the Marine Room, Coco Bistro for dinner and the Cocovan for more casual lunches.

We went to the fish fry which happens every Thursday and had fun checking out the vendors and the food. The vendors are very nice but not much authentic/local crafts besides one or two stalls, most are cheap products that you can find in the airport. The host of the fish fry was awesome and the band was great. Long lines for the food but all good and part of the experience. Bring cash.

That’s the last call out I’ll make, bring cash. More than you think. You’ll need it. Not everyone takes a card and cash is super helpful. You can find an ATM at the gourmet grocery store. Some hotels will also do cash advances for a fee.

Loved GB in general, incredible people and scenery. We’ll be back.

I am going in a week and am wondering if it is worth it to bring my own pen? Especially since it is a disposable and has nothing saying its thc? Just wondering about strictness.

Hi all, my husband and I just got back from our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos for 5 nights and wanted to provide a review for others:

We have the Sapphire Reserve credit card so will add those in as well.

1. Airport lounge in Charlotte: we flew from the west coast to Charlotte and stayed the night there. The Charlotte lounge in the morning (7 am) was great - no lines, not packed like sardines, and decent food. There was breakfast food (scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and green onions, muffins - blueberry, chocolate, plain, bagels (plain and sesame seeds) with sides of cream cheese with cheddar cheese and green onion, sunflower butter, and plain cream cheese), coffee, tea selections, water (hot, sparkling, cold), and soda.

2. Airlounge in Miami: terrible. There were long lines and we had to wait. I recommend making a reservation a couple of days in advance. If you have business class seats, go ahead to the front instead of waiting in line.

3. Wymara (9/10) we stayed at the 1 bedroom beachfront (1st floor) suite and it was amazing. We got the upgrade per sapphire reserve perks. The view was amazing and the service was top notch. For example, we went to land and sea for dinner (8/10 - decent food with amazing views) and didn't want to drive back at night so they drove our car for us and we took the shuttle back. We used the $100 credit for the massage, which was pretty good (8/10). I got the deep tissue massage and my husband got the provo massage and both were decent. I really like that they put our hands together at the very end of the massage. I took off 1/2 point because we left some cash out in an envelope and per policy, they had to have a security guard come in and unlock the safety box. I didn't enjoy that part since it was about 9 pm and a security guard came into the room. Another 1/2 point because they charged us for a meal that we didn't have at Indigo (they fixed it immediately though). We also got free breakfast at Indigo and it was good. They had an eggs and waffle station (I got scrambled eggs - gotta ask the lady behind the counter), potatoes, bacon, cheese, deli meats, fruit, smoothies and juices. FYI a latte is extra but they tell you that ahead of time. There's indoor and outdoor seating for Indigo but it's not beach front. Blue water bistro is next door and it's outdoor seating and by the beach. I also liked the pink bar and got some mocktails.

4. Tc villas on chalk sound (5/10). It didn't feel luxurious like Wymara and more like an air bnb. We had our own pool with a private beach front access. The downside of this place was how far it was to the shopping and lunch/dinner. The best part is the view from the bed and the living room, the private pool and ocean access that we shared with 1 other family. If you're planning on cooking, this is the way to go. But we only wanted meals by Grace bay so we drive 20 min each way. Driving isn't bad but it was hot in the car even with the AC.

Anyone in turks & caicos right now? Hows the weather, thinking to go mid july around 22nd-28th but hesitant due to the weather. Was thinking of Aruba but would prefer turks. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I made a post a month or so ago and wanted to follow up. We are about a week out.

We are staying at Sing A Song Villa II in the Turtle Tail/Juba Sound area. Feedback from last post wasn't great about this place but I looked up latest google reviews as suggested but most were fairly old.

With that in mind, I’m looking for a few final tips to make sure we have the right things booked:

* Cooking at the VRBO: Since we’ll have a kitchen, what are your top tips for sourcing high-quality local ingredients? Is the Graceway IGA on Leeward Highway the definitive spot, or are there smaller local markets (produce/fresh fish) we should prioritize to avoid the tourist markup?

* See-Through Kayak/Excursions: We want to get out on the water, but we are looking for "low-tourist" options. Any recommendations for private or small-group clear-kayak tours that don't feel like a cattle call

* Teen-Focused DIY: We are DIY travelers, but with two teens, I want to make sure we have a few "anchor" excursions booked so we aren't just winging it the whole time. What’s worth booking in advance for that age group that isn't a massive party boat?

* Rental Car: We definitely need a car. Is a Jeep actually worth the extra cost for the roads in Provo, or is a standard mid-size SUV fine? Any specific rental agencies you’d recommend for a smooth, transparent experience?

Hi everyone! We're planning a family vacation to TCI next March and are pretty close to booking Grace Bay Club. Our youngest will be 4.5 when we travel and will want to be with their older sibling (6). Does anyone know how strict they are on the 5+ age requirement for the Kids Club? I've tried reaching out to them on chat, but no answer yet

We would prefer to stay on Grace Bay, though we could always do The Shore Club. DH doesn't love the Ritz Grace Bay.

I’m trying to decide between two resorts in Turks & Caicos and I’m stuck. Trip is for February and I want honest opinions from people who’ve stayed there or know people who have. I am budgeting because I want to do fun things there too.

The two options:
West Bay Club
The Sands at Grace Bay

What I care about:
Best beach experience (clear water)
Nice/clean/luxury feel (not basic hotel vibes)
Good food on site or nearby
Excursions (snorkeling, boat trips, etc.)
Some things to do, but I don’t need a party resort

Where I’m stuck:
West Bay Club seems more “luxury and quiet,” but less walkable and fewer amenities, more taxis.
The Sands seems more convenient and walkable, but maybe less upscale

My Questions:
Which one actually feels nicer in person?
Is West Bay Club worth it over The Sands?
Will I regret picking one over the other?

Any real experiences or comparisons would help a lot. Trying not to overthink this but I keep going back and forth.

Open to things to do there ideas too!!

I’m here now and as soon as I got off the plane the airline employees were screaming at people. Taxi drivers are rude, staff where I’m staying and local gift shops! These taxi drivers make up rates as they go.

We'll be in TCI in late december and the AirBnB were looking at has hot water crossed off in their ammenities. For places without hot water, how is the temperature in december?

Is it somewhat lukewarm because of the ambiant temperature or rather jarring for someone used to hotter shower temperatures?

My family and I will be going on our first trip to Turks and booked a private villa on Chalk Sound. Any tips on things to plan for, bring, general FYI are greatly appreciated! We already plan to rent a car for the full duration, so that’s covered!
