HCG was not rising and is now doubling

My HCG plateaued early on and then had a slow rise and is now doubling. Has anyone experienced something similar and saw success? I am aware it is likely a chemical and possibly ectopic. We did an ultrasound today at 17dp5dt but did not see signs of ectopic so far. However, we also did not see any sign of pregnancy in the uterus (my IVF clinic said my HCG is too low to see even a gestational sac at this point anyway so it’s hard to rule out any possibility). This is my 6th embryo transfer (3 did not implant, 1 was a MC at 8w, and 1 was a chemical).

Plateauing / Slow Rising Beta HCG

My beta HCG levels are super abnormal.

Does this look like the pattern of an ectopic pregnancy? My RE thinks it is likely a chemical or ectopic

Successful pregnancies after lap?

I (36F) have had 6 failed IVF embryo transfers (3 did not implant, 1 miscarriage at 8w, 2 chemicals) after trying to get pregnant naturally for a year (never got a positive test). Besides infertility, I don’t have any classic endo symptoms. We’ve also tried IVF protocols with lupron suppression to treat as if I had endo, but those were unsuccessful.

I have heard a lap can sometimes worsen fertility (not that it seems like mine can get much worse) so it makes me a little hesitant. My RE is also against a lap, but I’ve consulted with an endo specialist and he said that although there’s not a lot of clinical evidence excision can help with fertility, anecdotally, he’s seen a lot of infertility patients get pregnant after excision. Has anyone seen success with fertility after a lap, especially with silent endo? How soon after a lap can you try to get pregnant?

Short course GLP-1 while waiting to do laparoscopy before next FET

TW: loss

I (36F) have had 6 failed embryo transfers (3 did not implant, 1 miscarriage at 8w, 2 chemicals; no living child) after trying naturally for a year (not one single positive pregnancy test). All of my tests have come back normal so I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I also started seeing an RI as well but still no success. The only thing that could maybe be factors are that I have Hashimoto’s, I am overweight, and I have slightly elevated inflammatory cytokines / TNF-a. I have consulted an endo specialist and plan on doing a laparoscopy next (no endo symptoms except infertility, but I don’t know what else to try). I have heard that GLP-1 can lower inflammatory markers in addition to the weight loss benefit so I figured maybe I can do it now while I wait for my lap. It would only be for maybe 2 months since you have to be off of it for another 1-2 months before trying to conceive so I don’t know if it’s worth it?

Has anyone tried doing short course GLP-1 before a FET? If so, for how long and how much weight did you lose? How long before transfer day did your RE require you to be off of GLP-1? Has anyone tried GLP-1 while specifically waiting for a lap? Is there any conflict?

2nd beta HCG plateaued for 6th embryo transfer

This was my 6th embryo transfer via IVF. 3 didn’t implant at all, and I had 1 miscarriage at 8w and 1 chemical before beta. I was so excited that we made it to beta this time. First beta at 10dp5dt (15 DPO) was 153 and sadly, second beta 2 days later today was only 157. I already am expecting either a chemical or (hopefully not) an ectopic. Has anyone ever had a beta plateau this early and end up seeing success?

Early pregnancy symptoms keep coming and going

I am 11dp5dt (16DPO) today. My first beta yesterday was 153, am I am spiraling waiting for my beta tomorrow to see how it progresses. I’m so nervous because my beta is so much lower than my first pregnancy, and I am just coming off another chemical a few months ago. My only symptoms have just been cramping (mainly only the few days after transfer) and sore boobs. My boobs were really sore a few days ago but it hasn’t been that sore the last 2 days. I’m so worried my disappearing symptoms mean I’m having another chemical :( Has anyone experienced symptoms like sore boobs subside / come and go in early pregnancy and still had a successful birth?

10dp5dt (15 DPO) with first beta

10dp5dt (equivalent to 15 DPO) today. I had my first beta drawn and it was 153. Is that a good number? What are the chances of a chemical at this point? Super nervous after a few losses

PSA: Biotin makes FRER tests lighter (10dp5dt / 15 DPO today)

I wanted to make a PSA about how biotin affects FRER test results. I usually take my prenatal around 11PM-midnight right before I sleep. My 5dp5dt test was taken in the late afternoon (many hours after taking my prenatal), and my 6dp5dt test was taken early morning (FMU after taking my prenatal). I panicked when I noticed my 6dp5dt test was so much lighter but my easy@home tests were getting darker. I changed to taking my prenatal during the day after my FMU test and my tests got darker. I know people on other posts say you need 10,000mcg of biotin to see any effect but I disagree. I use the Megafood baby&me prenatal, which has 300mcg of biotin in it and saw this effect.

9dp5dt (14 DPO) Progression

Has anyone seen success with similar tests? Or does this look like a chemical progression? My latest 9dp5dt (which is equivalent to 14 DPO) test looks almost the same or maybe even lighter than my 8dp5dt test. 9dp5dt also looks just too light for this point?

u/stinker199 — 13 days ago

8dp5dt (13 DPO)

How does this look for 8dp5dt (13DPO)? Lines are progressing, but compared to a previous pregnancy, this looks way lighter (last pregnancy at 8dp5dt, test line was almost the same intensity as the control line). I am just coming off a chemical so I am so nervous this is another chemical :(

5 - 7dp5dt (10-12 DPO) progression

How does this look? Is it too light for 7dp5dt? Super nervous about another chemical. It looks lighter than previous pregnancy I had

5-6 dp 5 dt… another chemical or biotin interference?

I am 6dp5dt (equivalent to 11DPO) today and took a test with my FMU. I compared it against the first test I took yesterday on 5dp5dt at around 5PM. It’s getting lighter and looks almost non-existent on the FRER (second pic) but getting darker on the easy@home tests (first pic). I know HCG is supposed to double every 48 hours and I’m testing too frequently, but it doesn’t make sense why it would lighten esp with FMU? Also, if I compare it to the other 2 times I got positive tests (last pic), my test this time at 6dp5dt is significantly lighter (June 2025 was a clinical pregnancy that ended in MC at 8w and Sept 2025 was a chemical). I’ve already had 5 failed transfers (this is the 6th) so I am spiraling a bit. One thing I thought of is could it also be biotin interference? I took my prenatal with 300mcg of biotin in it late at night before my FMU this morning. I’ve seen so many people here say they’ve seen lighter lines on FRER after taking supplements with biotin in it.
