I have no quarrels with big stories in the subreddit but sometimes I feel like it became too big to the point it feels like it hard to keep track of what is going on. Heck I feel the subreddit somewhat deviated from the slice of life focus it had on the earlier days. I know big plot points is what keeping it alive but sometimes it feels too much to the point that I barely post nowadays. It might just be me but I wish there are more people rping as normal inkfish going about their day instead of agents or having a higher purpose to save the world from mass genocide or something.

Taiko: “For context, my baby girl Shamisen stays in her swim form a lot and she seems to be comfortable with it more often. She does sometimes turn to her inkling form sometimes but for the most part she is her swim form. Can’t tell if it’s just a baby thing or a personal thing though because when I was her age I stayed in my octoling form a lot more than my swim form. Either way she seems to be in normal health the last time I took her to a check up.”

Taiko: “There are people getting kidnapped, almost dying, and shady stuff going on lately. Seriously what the shell is even an NSS and why are there so many things going downhill? Is the world somehow conspiring against everyone? Is this some kind of sick joke I’m not getting? Anyways I hope you guys get well soon, cus this is just so weird that this place becomes so dire as of late.”

Exactly what this post said as I been noticing that there are lore and stuff happening in the subreddit. Like the Octarian 10 and what’s happening with Raiders. Also I do notice that there are multiple people roleplaying as members of the NSS with one name Sango and the other being just called Captain. I don’t mind it but I just want to know your guys thoughts.

Taiko: “Tamala and I are tapping out because of yesterday… but I’ll definitely cheer on for Finn and Maya on their Turf War match. In our stead would be Maya’s twin brother Mako and their cousin Lana, whom they’ve experienced this type of Turf War when they were young.”

Mako: “You got that right Taiko, with our presence in the field we’ll show these newbies how it’s done! By the way, I heard from Maya you were horrible in the field.”

Taiko: “Don’t remind me… it so different from my era of Turf War.”

Maya: “Now that we have some actual good teammates, the Apple Burst Bombs are back in business baby!”

Tamala: “Hehehe, glad to see you so excited babe. Break their legs honey!”

Finn: “Not literally but you know what she means right?”

Taiko: “Yeah if you guys wanna try and see them in action, head to Saltspray Rig and join the fun!”

Taiko: “Imma go on the record and say that this tournament was hosted for a limited time so don’t expect it to be a permanent addition, but man was it so different from my era of Turf War. I was given clothing and weapons from that area and what surprised me was there is this banned ability called ‘Damage Up’ which I feel like it’s cheating a little bit. Anyways I got a gen 1 Splash-o-Matic which had this ability called a ‘Bomb Rush’ and when I activate the ability, it does exactly what it’s named lol. But what made this match so weird for me is the gen 1 ink tanks that was given to us just to level the playing field and man were they heavy! It’s like carrying a jug on your back, not like the sleek and more compact design of our modern Ink tanks, like I swear my back was aching at the end of the day.”

“While I won a couple of rounds thanks to my bandmates and Maya, I will admit that I lost a lot thanks to my inexperience with gen 1 weapons and tactics. First of all, squid rolling is banned so I can’t mitigate sub damage nor move as quickly as I want to. But the main reason I lost a lot of rounds is due to the special being so overpowered that it cost me the match. Like what do you mean the Inkzooka can shoot more than once?! My other bandmate, Anja, was shooting blast after blast while laughing like a maniac, which I’m starting to realize why Maya and Finn lost their match against her when they were young. The next is the Bubbler… you mean to tell me that it was invincible and other teams can borrow it during the duration?! Like what? I corner someone and suddenly I can’t splat them at all! Lastly is the old Kraken, which I’m familiar with but man the load-time was short and the spins can oneshot a player.”

“There are other small things that threw me off like the Inkstrike can show up anywhere in the map, spawn point is relegated to the ground, and Seeker can lock onto you even if your submerged in ink. All in all it is chaotic and weird, but it is somehow fun. Maya had a good time… well at least during the part where she’s not yelling at me for being a noob.” :/

Taiko: “With a lot of newcomers questioning what the pink sky is for, it means there is a Big Run happening. It used to be once in a full moon but because GrizzCo decided to constantly invade Salmonid territory, we’re seeing it every three months or so for the past few years. Now I can go on a tangent on why GrizzCo is making this happen but I feel that’s not the point in this post. All I’m gonna say is please be safe and try stay away from the sites that has a Big Run is occurring. If you are participating in the Big Run to defend the city though then more power to you. Just remember not to hate on the Salmonids as they are doing what is natural for them. Thanks for reading and again be safe.”

I’m no mod by any chance nor do I know what is the severity but I think it should be said that this kind of content should not be allowed in this subreddit. It’s literally written into Rule 5 of this subreddit.
