FIP Diagnosis

My cat (2y) has been eating very little and losing weight, so I took him to vet for a blood test and it looks like his globulin is high. Vet gave me options to:

1/ dig around more with ultrasound and PCR test $1.3k,
OR

2/ start GS treatment for a week and do a blood test again

Since it seems FIP can progress quickly, I chose to start GS treatment ASAP and ordered a 55mL of it

Am I doing anything wrong? Please share your diagnosis story

Underweight cat?

I adopted my cat, Oatmeal, when he was 11.5lbs in September and he was motivated by food (was somewhat choosing food flavors, but was eating the suggested amount for his weight).

As time goes, his food preference slowly becomes more difficult to predict. He likes only rabbit, then only chicken kibble, then no wet food at all, now he's sick of many variations of kibbles and turns his nose away from all brands of wet food.

By May, he's 9.5lbs. He acts normal, likes to go out to the backyard (under my supervision) and eats very little food. Vet checked his stool and no worm. I'm worried and lost. Is it normal for cat to behave like this and what should i do next?
