Thin, weak coffee using reusable filter

I use the "official" K-cup universal reusable filter multi stream and a K-slim. The coffee I get is inconsistent at best, terrible most times. Thin, weak, looks closer to tea than coffee, tastes of nothing

I have tried all sort of things:

- multiple brands of coffee grounds

- darker roasts

- finer grounds

- fill the filter less, or more

- pre soak the grounds in the filter with hot water

- add or remove the red silicone plug for the multi stream

- add a paper filter

I certainly get different results but none of them are good. In addition, the coffee never comes out in a single stream like when using the plastic k-cups, but it sputters and spits water around (which is a common thing mentioned in this group when using reusable filters).

I'm thinking of ditching Keurig for good if the only way to get a good coffee out of it is using plastic pods every time. Am I missing something obvious?

Reusing drip fittings and emitters

I asked a dumb question before and you guys were very helpful, so I'm at it again. Is there any way to reuse drip system 1/4" parts? For example, I have a 1GPH emitter and I want to replace it with a 2GPH emitter: I will cut the old one out and install the new one, but the old one is then left with a little stub of poly line so I can't reuse it anywhere. Same for all couplers, tees, etc. Am I missing something obvious again? If it makes a difference, I use a mix of DIG and Rain Bird parts

A lot of updates?

My car seems to be receiving a new update every other week. They mostly fail, with the app saying that the conditions for an update have not been met, but at least twice they have succeeded. Today again, another series of messages saying that there is an update. Anybody else experiencing the same?

Rain Bird 1/4 barbed coupler problem

These couplers are not symmetrical. It really seems that the pointy end is the one that is meant to go into the 1/2 tubing, but it's always a struggle. The pointy end is so long, it barely fits (I can feel it poking on the other side) and it often "slips out" so the shoulder is no longer snugly in and it leaks. However, I can't seem to be able to put the non-pointy end in, and even if I did I get the impression it will never come out. Am I missing something?
