the cd subreddit is much more chill/ layed back and KIND than the vinyl subreddit
I collect vinyl records and i know a thing or two about them but im not so PRETENTIOUS about it like the ppl in the vinyl subreddit. they will hate on kids, they will hate on elderly people, they will hate on teens. they will hate on ANYONE and they’re also slightly racist. i don’t even know what kind of demographic is on that subreddit but it boils my blood that mfs can’t just post on there and not get attacked if there’s one teeny tiny thing you said wrong like you could legit say “here’s my first pressing of ___ ! i just bought it for $50” and someone would say “$50? your stupidity is making me want to bleach my eyes.” “who would spend $50 on THAT 🤢” “wow . looks like people will buy anything these days. also it’s VINYL not VINYLS”
these people are so concerned about how you spend YOUR money they feel like you walked up to them and took their money out of THEIR pocket to buy it. they also js have a huge stick up their ass. when i was first collecting many moons ago i posted my little collection and someone said “wow. five whole artists. 😒” like are u shitting me.
