The base was done with golden matte white spray paint, the art was done with prismacolor alcohol markers, and it was sealed with a clear varnish.
Tried to tell a bit of a story with the filigree supposed to look more like runes on the enchantment side and more like vines on the land side.
Been having a blast making these and experimenting, Let me know what you think.
These are some proxies I have created, mostly experimenting with different methods and media.
So far I have used acrylic paint, and spray paint as base layers, spray paint has been the best in terms of time and feel. For the actual art I have used alcohol markers, g2 pilot pens, or a sharpie fine liner. The alcohol markers work incredibly well on the spray paint which is how I did the Erode. They also work fairly well on foils.
Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I’m new to altering and proxies.
Does anyone know how to keep a sheen on foil cards after vanishing them, I am using a gloss varnish and still the foil almost completely loses its shine, which is not the biggest deal but i would like to be able to keep the foiling. The enduring curiosity (didn’t actually put its name on it) is unvarnished and it is so shiny. I would like to keep it that way.
Let me know what you think.
