Suggestion: When you die you leave behind a ragdoll of your body instead of a block box, and on rare occasions it can show signs of life (as if it might still be alive)

>!Since the lore says the player character gets reprinted into a new body when they die, it’d be cool if you left your old body behind instead of a black box. You could go back to where you died and find a ragdoll of your previous body still there to reclaim your items. Maybe on rare occasions it even twitches slightly, like it’s not actually dead yet. It would make the whole reprinting idea a lot more unsettling and mysterious IMO, and it would tie into what the PDA says about the protocol to kill your old body if you see it move!<

Hi, I got a regular embody about a week ago. The seat pan feels amazing, but the upper back leaves something to be desired for me. I feel like shoulders dig into the back of the chair, rounding my upper back in an awkward arch that slightly hovers above the backrest. It hurts right between my shoulders, where my spine is.

I was wondering if the gaming embody fixes this? I've heard about the embody having more padding, including near the top of the backrest along the spine. I feel like having more padding on the spine could take away my one problem with this chair?

Any opionions or experiences with this?

Thanks!

Hi, I got the Herman Miller embody last week and I really like the seat, but the backrest is actively hurting my mid/lower traps. It feels like my shoulders are kind of pushing into the chair, which ends up making my upper back slightly hover away from the backrest instead of being properly supported.

I have a history of chronic tension (and pain) all over my body caused long-term sensory overload and stress growing up. I’m working on this in therapy at the moment. I'm almost certain that underlying tension is probably what’s making my shoulders round forward right now, and that might mean the embody isn’t a good match for me at this point in time.

I’ve decided I’m going to return it and use a temporary chair for the next year or two so I’m not making things worse while I work on loosening up this tension through therapy and exercise. The plan is to try the embody again later down the line.

Any suggestions for temporary/filler chairs would be appreciated!

Hi, I got the regular embody about 6 days ago and I really like the seat. But no matter how I adjust the tension or backfit, it doesn’t feel like it properly supports my shoulders and upper back.

Even on the lowest setting, my shoulders press into the backrest in a way that slightly rounds my upper back, and my traps don’t really stay in contact with the chair. Since using it, my middle and lower traps get sore during sitting and for a while after.

I have chronic body tension and a lot of upper back knots, plus a history of shifting chronic pain patterns in different areas over the years (mostly caused by mental stuff I'm in therapy for now).

I really want this chair to work. I went from a gaming chair for 8 years, to an aeron classic in the wrong size that caused circulation and upper back issues, and the embody was meant to finally fix that.

I have 8 days left in the return window. Is this likely just an adjustment phase that is a little rough because of my history, or is it more likely a mismatch?
