I Tested the New X-Plane Companion App for Vision Pro
Super easy to connect, but the mixed reality features and VR menus feel a bit tough to deal with. Hoping they improve on this in future updates.

I'm honestly not noticing much a difference between the krvr.app desktop streamer and iRacing's new companion app for Vision Pro. Let me know if you'd like to see any other details when making these comparisons!
It works decently well. Really looking forward to this tech improving in the coming months. We are close!
This game is super fun and makes great use of the PSVR2 controllers. Graphics are great, the mixed reality gameplay works really well, especially when you have to make lots of 180 degree turns to keep shooting at enemies. Some of the gunplay feels a bit unbalanced but overall def worth the $10.
This was a fun video to make. I was having issues with X-Plane 12 (was shooting before their official NVIDIA CloudXR integration released) so I didn't include it in this video. I will be doing a video on the new X-Plane 12 VR update for Vision Pro soon.
I'm usually hanging out more in the Vision Pro subreddit, but thought I'd share my setup here too. I was able to get a custom passthrough cutout to show my real hands and wheel while the rest of the car/track is shown in full VR. Running on a 5070Ti.
Running Galaxy XR + Virtual Desktop + iRacing in PCVR and every time I get into the car I see floating virtual hand controllers in my view. Pretty distracting when you're trying to race.
Here's what I've already tried/confirmed:
- "Forward tracking data to PC" is OFF in Virtual Desktop
- Hand tracking options in VD appear disabled
- Checked SteamVR Controllers settings — nothing obvious
- Running VD 1.34.18
A few questions:
Anyone else seeing this specifically in iRacing or other sim titles? I'm also getting it in Automobilista 2
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere — headset OS level, SteamVR, or VD?
Has anyone found a reliable workaround?
Would love to know if this is a "just wait for a patch" situation or if there's an actual fix. Thanks!
This has been my favorite comfort mod so far. I was worried about having to pry the stock back pad off the headset but at the end of the day it wasn't too bad.
