How the hell did this happen?

I am a 020 batch graduate and my cousin will be going through counselling this year, so I just checked the MBBS seat matrix for the year 2024, Maharashtra.

MH had 5050 government seats and only 996 seats for unreserved category...ffs only 20% for unreserved

What the hell is this?

When did the reservations go from 50% to 80%??

And how is this logical...?

Not opposing the 50 % reservation but wtf is 80%...

Is it because of his recent donations to Assam govt? Inframe:Samay Raina

Or its just another attempt to appease GenZ by doing damage control?

Tbh, the FIRs shouldn't have existed in the first place.

My POV on the RHA as a UR candidate.

As a UR candidate, I say don't remove reservations. Because everyone knows that even if a BJP-Congress coalition happens, reservations won't go away... Keep it up to 50 percent.

But people speak whatever they see.

In my college, every batch has 200 students, around 65 percent are under reservation... Remove OBC and EWS, because they have a negligible advantage in the seat matrix.

And since the course is 5.5 years long, you can tell who is needy.

The majority of my SC/ST colleagues came from upper-middle-class/middle-class families. So, reservations have rightfully been beneficial for them and their previous generations, but they still aren't ready to compete in the general quota.

And if they also come into the general category, our competition will increase, but many more deserving families will also get a chance to uplift themselves.

In the entire batch, there were only 6 people whose families weren't well-off. And in my opinion, only they deserve those quotas right now.

The problem is - those who are deserving don't even know what benefits are waiting for them because the already benefited people aren't ready to give up the quotas.

So it's ironic,

The only people fighting for reservations are the ones who want to keep reaping the undue benefits even if they aren't needy.

So hey, for whom are you asking for reservations, for your upcoming generation or for actual needy people??

Maine aajtak discrimination nahi dekha so i can talk only in terms of seats, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I'M DENYING KI DISCRIMINATION NAHI HOTI. I'm sure hoti hogi, behind closed doors, hum UR waale bhi ye rant karte hi hai ki we have to work extra hard and all.....but mere papa ne muje ek cheez bahut pehle sikhaayi thi ki agar koi college mei 200 seat hai toh tu ye maanke chal ki sirf 100 hai, because baaki 100 pe humara haqq nahi, aur kabhi reserved waalo pe joke nahi maarna because tune unki ladhai nahi dekhi. I somewhat followed his advice.

And rahi baat on ground discrimination ki, wo ek revolution se hi hategi, because discrimination is just racism but without skin color, ye mass mental problem duniya bhar mei hai. And ye revolution India mei aaj ya kal zaroor aayegi. But main problem ye hai ki yaha ki janta kaafi zaada selfish aur low EQ waali hai. Sabko apni padi hai. And yaha ke नेता log bahut haraami hain wo saale kabhi awareness aane hi nahi denge. Kursi pe baithe rehne ke liye neta log iss hate ko aur badhayenge, so as of now situation is worse.

General waala bacha kehta ki quota wala meri seat le gaya...jabki wo seat uss general waale ki thi bhi nahi. To wo bacha stereotype mei phass jaata hai. Har general bache ko wahi lagta hai ki ye meri seat le gaya, harr quota waale bache ko yahi lagta hai ki iske पूर्वजों ne humaare waalo pe अत्याचार kiya. Misunderstanding dono side se hai, ye hategi only by education and the right curriculum. Ye values school syllabus mei aani chaiye. Because kisi bhi insaan ka base bachpan se hi banta hai. But government bhadwi ye awareness kabhi bhi nahi aane degi. Tough times ahead, we can only hope for the best.

Because let's face the truth, no one will be able to remove reservation, but those who should be removed aren't getting removed, and those for whom you are fighting are getting minimal benefit....

And I'm open to all criticism because mai bhi koi perfect nahi, but ye extremist opinions dekhke thakk gaya hu, y'all are welcome for your opinions.

Logo mei Change toh shayad hi kuch kar paau because itna time nahi rakha, but I'll be more than happy if I come to know that people resonate with my POV.

Ho sake toh hate mat फैलाना.

Jai Hind!
