Well my redemption match ended on a loss.... sticky came in clutch allowing me to hold and hold more. I ALMOST won... Commander suit w/ 2 firescythes (missile suits) expanded to take a sticky on T5. I move in with Grav tank (which honestly... did nothing save screen home and take some shots at a parannah which it BARELY killed) killed the Commander's bodyguard... over 4 turns... draxsus and 1 guard that was shocked on T5, I needed to shave some wounds off the Commander... so draxus shot... deved the commander out... if I could got it to 1, sink HOPEFULLY a 7" charge to slingshot them to him. Kill him to get 3 kills... they had lone op 18" and would be outside a ghost and stormsurge range due to lone op... only 5 vespid would be able to take shots at them but no guidance available and a T6 guard left to make wounding hard... which would have got me 71-70... but I deved it out... but the all-star was the damnes Assassin... the vect aura was real... no overwatch, no -1 wound strat. Even though a loss he had to WORK for it... and t3 i spiked so many saves with Trajann standing tall with 1 guard left with so much fire pointed at them: breechers, storm, keel, pathfinder, riptide... tanking like champs

That aside... phase 3 ends. 1 phase 2 games left now at 2k... I get to edit 25% if my current list:

So i got a duos next weekend with me going anti-armor and I decided to be cute about it: Wulfen spam... or mostly wulfen. Thought id try to take advantage of Murderfangs 4+ fight on death and damn near everything has a 4++ and is t6+. My ally is going nids going anti chaff/elites

Stormlance 820/1000

2x10 wulfen w/ shields

2x wulfen dreads w/ shields & axes (2+4++6+++ yes please!)

Now i got 180pts left and no warlord atm... im going Crucible for my warlord and I got 2 options:

Venerable Brother 160pts

Weapons would be a brutalis loadout with a reroll hits of 1 aura for infantry but his specialism gives him a 4++ but his ability:

*lethals on everything

*+10pts for +1 wound in melee which sounds nice but I got twin linked but wounding on 2-4s vs 3-5s sound better

*Rites of battle this for tankshock for free each turn (except maybe t1 as I dont think I can sink a charge with him) would be very nice.

2x Champions of the Chapters 70pts each

Thunder hammer + servo arm

Curse of the wulfen to allow them to lead the wulfen blocks but the abilities are limited:

*Rites of battle - for a cp reroll honestly and thats about it

*+10pts litany which allows them to wound on 2s or 3s vs anything not armor or negate -1 wound (Scarab terminators). This has some boosting

*banner, this where it gets spicy. +1oc so shocked or not they are always OC1 allowing them to hold and deny primary or even do actions if we desperate.

*lethals would be nice as they would probably get OoM majority of the time so fishing for 6s would be nice.

If I went Champions without litany id have 40pts left and could run a small team of wolves to help screen or deny deepstrike or maybe go after chaff/secondary game pieces.

Its coming along. Just assembled the axe and shield just before leaving for work after I varnished them then other night. I feel a little more foliage is needed... some moss or leaves or branches...

Base size: 50mm

Paint:

Brown - pro acryl Mahogany

Off white - pro acryl ivory

Brass - pro acryl Dark bronze

Metal- two thin coats Sir Coats silver

Green - ak deep forest

Bought a boxnaught kit a while ago to make Pop Pop and had the left over parts for a while. Made an ebay purchase for another kit just bits as I found a body at my LGS for $3 only to see it was an entire kit but a recast... weeks later found a basic venerable kit for $20... after building the land raiders I thought it was time to assemble the ancientsv

Just need some bases and its good to play. Still got a left over shield/axe and I got an idea for a OoM token witb it...

Might eventually get the kit again to do a kitbash of murderfang down the line to make him more epic. Time will tell...

Built and now about to prime 2 land raiders to roll around in and my finished Grav Tank which i may go back tonair brush the florescent blue there... not sure onward to priming! Just took 6-8 hours

So im finalizing my grav tank by using a 8mm brass tube thats about 2". The base is painted and varnished which i think was a bad call in hindsight (the varnish that is). Should I just super glue or use some epox (E9000 that if I recall is supposed to bond better to plastic) to secure the tube to the base top or drill in to the plastic so the tube is flush with any surface it's on and then add the binder above and below.

Its a printed tank so I dont got the plastic thing the kit usually has.

So im painting a Grav Tank and im getting close to the base. How do you all go about attaching it to the base. Im in need of guidance...

Note: it was a gift and I was given the tank which was a print. So theres no clear acrylic part

Gluing it down? I see connection points on mine being the front part of the.... side hulls? And the back 2 fins on the underside. Like i don't see it holding very well... especially sense 1 fin broke on me but I managed to glue it back on.

Magnets? This i can see on the middle hull underside. I have 8mm magnets I could stack up while gluing to each other until the tank gets high enough where I want it, stop stacking, drill in to the hull of the tank and fix 1 more magnet in the hull. But when it comes to traveling... makes it a little challenging as id probably have to hold it.

Pinning? I could just pin the ever living hell out of it. To where I feel it wont move. Then hiding the pins... I could use cotton balls that are painted to throw the illusion its flying and its a dust cloud...
