This is a comparison of the size of the plastic miniatures of the Custodes range compared to Space Marines and Imperial Knights. I've done it so you don't have to :) Note that it could be somewhat inaccurate by a mm or two. Also note that GW made a mistake, the Aquilon Terminators in the webstore are displayed on 40mm bases instead of the 50mm they are going to be shipped with.

Although I did find it interesting that Folger Piles on the recent Art of War 40k video decided NOT to take a Vexilla on his unit because it makes them "too tall"
With the great new changes the shield captain and Trajann getting a much deserved amp I’m sure they will be our top 2 pick for characters in general lists. Obviously the bike and terminator captains definitely have there uses too and will be very handy when allowing us to utilise those extra katahs each turn.
So where does that place the blade champion in your eyes? He loses his advance and charge which I don’t see as an issue as it’s so plentiful now and with his re roll to charges staying and getting better by adding in advances too it gives us a very mobile unit.
His stat line too looks very very lethal and with his marking ability can really allow him to punch up and snipe out units even by himself.
So with this in mind where do you see his place being in our new codex and do you think he’s worthwhile taking over the other characters we have available?
Test model for an admittedly silly army concept. An appropriately ultra-elite army just seems like an excellent opportunity for some fun Ogryn* conversions.
Sisters of silence are very expensive and I have 10 spare Sisters of silence heads and a ton of arms, would TOs let this fly if I replaced the arms/heads/potentially shoulder pads with sisters of silence bits?
Anyone who has done this and brought them to a formal event I’m very curious if this was allowed.
Hi all, I've just joined Reddit (about time I know) and I just wanted to introduce myself and show you what I'm working on.
I play Votann competitively but I have also been working on Custodes since last year and I've gone with a Legion of the Damned theme.
All heads are official GW and the flames sculpted.
I am still trying to get realistic flames in painting so any suggestion is appreciated!
I look forward to be playing more games with Custodes with the new codex!

I was playing against my brother's thousand sons (me with the leaked codex, him with the extra points) and he had to dedicate about a thousand points to kill my telemon. I had the dual fists pummeling Magnus, and it took Magnus, a mutalith vortex beast, and a squad of terminators to take it down. It only dies to a mutalith beam that rolled 18 damage into a 1-wound telemon (the mutalith was then removed with 16 damage from my tank)
I play against my brothers dark angels regularly. He fields not 1, not 2, but three squads of deathwing knights. I loathe these models. The -1 damage is killer, even with the mortoi enhancement on a galadius or the 4 damage castus on the telemon. I feel like the achillus with the mortoi enhancement kills them the best? Hitting on 2’s, wounding on 2’s and every failed save is a dead knight even with damage negation. It would be D3+4. I bought a telemon but want a support dreadnought. Does this math be mathing?
Went up against my buddies Emperor's Children, and whereas I lost 68 - 76, it was an incredibly fun game.
I underestimated how far 6 Flawless Blades and Lucius disembarking from a Land Raider, alongside 10 Infractors and a Lord Exultant disembarking from a Rhino could advance and charge turn one, costing me 3× Custodian Solidarity, and a Dreadnought.
But the counter charge on my next turn saw my Callidus Annihilator Grav Tank one shot his Defiler, my second Dreadnought make it into and wipe a unit of Noise Marines, my Shield Captain and 2 Wardens get into and wipe a second unit of Infractors with second Lord Exultant.
A unit of Sisters of Silence even took out several of that first group of Infractors.
So, takeaways.
Gotta have a good system of keeping track of Readied / Katah (some has shown a few times here of a tracker they're making and oh man, they're beautiful and I can't wait). Until then I've got all 6 printed out and then just numbering them 1-6 I was putting a small 6 sided dice next to a unit after activating their Ka'tahs
I've been skeptical about punching back into larger units, but against 10 man Marines and 6 man Elites, they did wonderfully.
AP-1/-2 is still dangerous en masse, but the en masse is decently lower. I'm glad I didn't have to take as many saves with T7.
The Contemptors slap. Hard. M 9" is the movement buff they needed (plus I was running Solar Watch, so +2" move), and the 5+ FnP enhancement from Might of the Moritoi on the sword and board Dread saw him hold his ground and trash a Mauler Fiend.
I did bring a Callidius Assassin, that did next to nothing (didn't draw an secondaries that made her useful) and I'm considering dumping her for another Sisters of Silence unit and second enhancement if it stays that way for the next game or two.
All in all, really excited to keep pushing the limits of our new rules.

I’ve been scouring Etsy, but haven’t found any readied or Ka’tah tokens yet. Has anyone found any anywhere. I’m really hoping to find ones that have not only the name of the Ka’tah, but what it does as well.
