Although I did find it interesting that Folger Piles on the recent Art of War 40k video decided NOT to take a Vexilla on his unit because it makes them "too tall"

From the latest Warhammer Community article Space Marines rules – First look - it seems that they are looking how to re-work Guilliman

On the surface it SOUNDS good ..

He has all three Combat Doctrines active, at all times ...

• Tactical Doctrine
• Devastator Doctrine
• Assault Doctrine

But then you realise it's basically the same "Fallback, Advance, Shoot, and Charge" ability that Marneus Calgar had for the entire of 10th edition.

..

So unless there are some really powerful new stratagems which synergise closely with combat doctrines - then this feels a little "Meh"

Had my Octavia for a few years now, it's just pushing 125k miles and up until now has been running fantastically well.

Had a major service a month ago where they changed the filters and spark plugs - other than replacing the brake discs they said the car was in great health.

This afternoon the engine wouldn't start. It splutters and coughs, the revs slowly drop and just before it stalls I get "Oil sensor: workshop!" come up on the dashboard..

Is this serious?? 😬😬

Hello everyone - so after the success of my first A4 scaled post, I have now updated to include all of the different terrain footprint types.

These are all direct re-scales of the existing (A3) terrain area footprints which were officially released by Games Workshop on the Warhammer Community

Please find below the list of A4 Scaled PDFs:

• Death World - Jungle
• Death World - Snow
• Imperial World
• Maelstrom World
• Battlezone (Grey Tone) *

* Note - the final one was in response to a request from someone on my original post, to make the original terrain footprints more "blue-grey" and less "orange-red".

As always - these are scaled to be printed at "A4" (210mm × 297mm or 8.27" × 11.69") - which is slightly different to the "Letter" scale that some of you might be used to.

Please ensure that you print these at 100% scale borderless - you might find that your printer is adding "guttering" or "margins" which will make these smaller than they ideally need to be.

Finally a Disclaimer - I have done my absolute best to get these scaled correctly, but I'm no publisher / graphic designer. These are here for free so that those of you with A4 printers are home can get easy access to official looking templates - so if they are 1/4" out here or there then I apologise, but this is the best I can do 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Warhammer Community article which includes the measurements: #New40k – Take cover with updated terrain rules

• Four large rectangles – 7” x 11.5”
• Two large right-angle triangles – 8” x 11.5” 
• Four medium rectangles – 6” x 4”
• Two long lines – 10” x 2.5”
• Four short lines – 6” x 2”

Now - you can take these with a pinch of salt (because the official A3 scaled prints are not EXACTLY to these measurements, they are out by 1/2" here or there) but I've gotten it as close as I felt I could.

After her comic strip copy - she figured she would have a go at something a little more original

My daughter is extremely arty, an utter bookworm and currently fairly obsessed with Wings of Fire..

She loves to find images online and copies them in pencil, coloring with acrylic pens.

Finished my first ever tank for my Custodes - the Caladius Grav Tank

I've magnetized the turret (and I'm building the twin iliastus accelerator cannon too) but the heavy blaze cannon was always going to be the priority.

.. given this is a print, and I didn't have any of the official transfers I'm pretty happy with it! 😁

I believe she used acrylic pens and has used one of the graphic novels for source material..

Note - these are all hand drawn and colored in with pens, she hasn't traced anything

[Edit - I'm double checking about whether these are traced - could be my bad.. when you assume etc.. ]

Final update on "Trace-Gate" :: I have been assured that she did not trace these, and hasn't traced anything for a couple of years now - and I'm very aware of the comments below remarking that as "impossible" 🤷🏻‍♂️ - it's not really something I want to get bogged down in as it wasn't the reason I was sharing these in the first place.

To be honest I was always more impressed with the shading and color accuracy she has managed. Either way, I'm just a very proud dad 👍🏻🙌🏻

Regardless of your position on the "is it traced" debate which I've no doubt will rage on in the comments (she is absolutely thrilled by the way that some of you think it was) at the very least let's all appreciate a young mind who loves Warrior Cats and is really (really) enjoying her art work 🥰

So the Tyranid Warriors in melee used to be able to re-roll hits of 1 in melee

This has been swapped out for a +1S ability (or optionally +1T) ..

This can potentially push them up to

- S7 (S5 base, +1 Synapse, +1 Ability)

Or can push them up to Toughness 6

..

I like the lack of re-rolls speeding up the game, but also feel this is a nerf to the unit

A bit of a big change here

You can now make your Bladeguard natively hit on 2+ .. or make your opponents attacks +1 to hit in return

IMO a much better way to go than re-rolling everything

A friend of mine plays Astra Militarum so I managed to get this model printed, and then painted him up as a gift 🎁😁

I used to love the old Yarrick model - my best friend as a kid had him in their 2nd edition Imperial Guard army - so it will be very cool to see him back on the battlefield

Finally got myself an Arachnus Storm Cannon for my (3D printed) Telemon Dreadnought..

Magnetized it, of course, but at least now he's ready for the battlefield!

Smitten I'm pretty sure..

Dropped this while loading the fridge - trying to work out how it stayed intact..

Put it (CAREFULLY) I'm the fridge and left it for an hour - it opened without any fizzing

An absolute joy of a model, and also found

- A home for the big ass skull from the "Citadel Skulls" box

- That Trygons have a LOT of scales

- They are HUGE!
