Favorite Gun Shops

Hey Jacksonville, wondering if I could get some references on your favorite gun shops in or around Jacksonville or south Georgia. More recently I've enjoyed collecting old antique guns and wondering if you have any go to shops to look for used firearms. My personal favorite is US patriot on Atlantic.

Need help attempting to restore a Remington Model 34

I am trying to restore my great great grandfathers Remington Model 34, however unfortunately it is extremely rusted over and pitted over most of the metal. Surprisingly I was able to free the bolt and after cleaning the inside of the barrel, it is in near perfect condition. I am new to restoring firearms however this is actually the 4th of my great grandfathers that I am restoring and have had great success with the others. The main thing driving me crazy about this restoration is the stuck and broken takedown screw. The head of the screw is broken off and the remainder is stuck. I have soaked it in degreaser or CLP multiple times, i have sat it in boiling water, I have scraped it with a metal brush, I have tried everything i can think of and this screw will not budge. Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Looking for a starting kayak

I was parusing facebook marketplace and found a like new condition pelican 10ft kayak for 150. 8 wanted to see if it was a good deal and came across pelicans website to find that ALL of their kayaks are under $100 right now. So any reccomendations for an open top 10 footer for occasional river fishing? I live in jax florida and like to fish along branches of the St Johns. Also I am fairly strict on 10 foot given limited home space and smaller car Yes I know pelicans are known for cheap low quality plastic but hey its cheap.

Investing When Trying to Buy a Home

Hello everyone, I am 26M looking to get more into investing/stocks, specifically long term investments, however problem is, I am in the market for a house now. Just looking for some recommendations and am I able to utilize some money I have invested or is it pretty much untouchable once I invest. Ive just broke 100,000 in my savings, i have 32,000 in a Roth IRA through work, and 1000 i invested into some random ETFs (QQQ and VOO) just to start an account last year which is up to 1178. FYI I am not a big risk taker. Also a stupid question, is it possible to lose more than you invest?

Winchester Model 12 Help

Just inherited a Winchester Model 12 from my great grandfather. It is a 16g made in I believe 1947. Absolutely beautiful gun sadly sat in his basement for who knows how long and rusted over. I am restoring it to the best of my abilities however I had to replace a few parts in the trigger group. Putting the gun back together the carrier is getting stuck and won't lift all the way. At first I thought i had not properly placed the cartridge cutoff which seems to be a common issue, however looking at other images of the 16g variants, it looks like the carrier is too long. I ordered from numrich gun parts which stated it was for 16g. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated as I am new to this type of thing. Am I right or could it be something else?
