Just going through my clothing and equipment ready for my EBC trek in November. What are people's thoughts on drinking bottles. I have a couple of 1lt Nalgene bottles and an Osprey 2.5lt bladder. Do I take everything with me or just my Nalgene bottles? I like j6st my bottles as i can monitor my fluid intake better than the bladder.

Im looking at giving $110 tip to my porter and $160 to my guide. Is it better to give them it in Dollars or Nepalese Rupees. I alsk as it is going to be 41000NPR and I think that is a lot of paper cash to take with me on the trek.

I recently booked tickets through a 3rd party for flights on Emirates to Kathmandu. Not realising that I included my friends' middle name that he doesn't use on his passport.

For example, ticket name John Middle Jones

Passport name John Jones

Is this a big issue with checking in or boarding our flight. 3rd party company wants to cancel both original tickets and rebook with new name but with latest ticket price. which is approximately £450 between us. Bearing in mind, we have already spent £1250 each on tickets.

I'm heading to Everest Base Camp soon and was looking at getting an action camera to take. Once I finish my trek, I will use the camera on my motorcycle. A friend fully recommended the 5 pro as its cheaper longer battery and better features. I like the idea of the 360 for some great shots, and like it, when you pass a vehicle, the 360 follows that vehicle. I'm tirn now between the two. Would like people's advice please.

I'm travelling from the UK to EBC in October 2026. For all those who have completed it, can you recommend a decent portable power bank to charge my mobile phone, an insta 360 camera, and maybe a tablet for the duration. I know there is a limit on the size an airline will allow, but there seems to be loads on the market. I just dont want to buy a rubbish one.

Hey all. I will be heading to EBC at the end of October for my trek. My trekking company is supplying me with a sleeping bag and liner. This is great as it saves me bringing my own. Now, this is just a personal preference, but I would rather use my own sleeping bag liner. Can anyone recommend a good one to use during November. Thanks.
