The Great Andromeda Invasion

Very important event in my world, isn't really fleshed out yet. Feel free to ask questions.

The Milky Way Galaxy had been invaded by the Andromeda Galaxy. Whilst the Milky Way is made up of a bunch of different aliens, the Andromeda had been colonized completely by one alien species that completely gave up their organic forms and uploaded themselves into hyper-efficient robot ones. They got rid of all the emotions they felt they "didn't need", including pain and feel themselves to be superior because of so. That, along with their arrogance, is their main weakness.

In the territory (now referring to it as the "protag-territory") my world takes place, the Andromeda aliens had taken some territory right next to it, and had gotten the attention of all the natives living in the protag-territory, and started fighting back against them. An alien nation from outside the territory moved their military and set up base in the protag-territory, and did so because they wanted to fight the Andromeda aliens. These alien had completely embraced organic life, and everything about them was either bred or grown, even their ships were completely organic and alive. They definitely did not like that the Andromeda aliens had given up their own bodies for the sake of being the "superior" species. However, as you can imagine, having organic warships with vulnerable insides introduces a lot of problems, as well as having everything else be organic as well.

Meanwhile, there is this species native to the protag-territory that is kind of in the middle. They have a really complicated backstory I'm not going to share here but basically they were engineered, and naturally use a metal element called Philranium that is present in many places in their body, including their armor. They also have a lot of traits that would be impossible to evolve naturally, especially regarding their brains. They rely a lot on companion animals, because a lot of the companion animals are their ships. They are not nearly as vulnerable as the organic alien species' ships are, in fact 80% of their body is considered the "ship" part. These aliens' weaknesses are pretty balanced, and they have the most unique and powerful military in the protag-territory. Most importantly, however, they have a keen understanding of themselves and the creatures they use because they didn't rush themselves into a life they merely thought would help them, and didn't force it despite all the problems it causes just for the sake of being their idea of "superior".

These aliens are also fighting back against the Andromeda aliens' war of conquest, at first they work with the organic aliens but then stop liking them once they start breaking laws and damaging the environment around them just so they could fight the Andromeda aliens.

Want to write but don't know what to write!

I have a pretty well established Sci-fi world that takes place thousands of years in the future. I have developed this world mostly by thinking or making slice-of-life moments and obsessing over the biology and life of my aliens but I really want to have an actual story play out, nothing that would change or expand on the lore much but a narrative that follows a/a group of characters.

Below is some details about the world, and I am asking for some concepts or ideas to adapt into a story to write, and maybe some tips if you feel anything is off about this world based off the information given.

The main place is called the East Sector or "The Mediated" mostly by outsiders. It's a territory in the East of the Milky Way Galaxy. It isn't really just a place or a union, but a bunch of civilizations that decided to co-exist as people, not as rival forces to compete with, but not necessarily anti-war either. The East Sector is known for being the most diverse and connected, most aliens get a chance to see all other species available in their lifetime.

Space travel isn't easy or as quick like in the movies, but "Live" space travel as it is called, is a thing and most ships are well adjusted to being easily steerable in real time and able to reach very high speeds and land on objects. Lasers and guns are the most common weapons for common types of weapon-carrying ships, with guns being good at piercing through certain metals and lasers good for melting and causing heat damage.

There are several species mainly native to the East Sector, including humans, and discrimination isn't as widespread as with areas close by.

One of the major civs acts as the "Mediator" of the East Sector, and handles conflicts between other civilizations. They were elected for several reasons, but mainly because they don't have many relationships with anyone (Accept humans, they have a bad history with them but they are better than to discriminate).

There are "Independent" groups of people that usually don't live on anyone's land and in their ships instead, and aren't considered citizens for some reason or because they chose to. They're like the galactic homeless people of the East Sector, going around husting for money. Luckily, people are happy to hire them for certain tasks.

There is vigilante group that goes around taking out high-ranking people that don't care for the people they lead.

I am purposely leaving out a LOT of details but If you ask I am very happy to give, I do not want this to be a giant block of text that takes ten minutes to read.

What does this guy want and how do I do it?

Overseer wants me to deliver neuron fly to LTTM. Even once I returned to Shaded Citadel it kept telling me to go back. Is it just a weird game bug thing or am I missing something because I brought the fly in my mouth? Got to the exterior through Chimney Canopy.
