Does anyone else feel like IQ is less important in this 2K?
I’m a relatively new 2k player. I’ve been playing since 2k19 but every year I would make a minimum height pg with high defense and passing. I never cared about having an optimal build and I was never an amazing scorer. But through playing good defense, hitting open people and taking safe shots i could hover in between gold and purple plate.
This 2k I don’t think I’ve even gotten out of gold and I mostly hover between silver and gold. This is the first 2k where I actually made a variety of builds that are optimized so it’s actually kinda funny that im not climbing my as well as I did on my unoptimized 5’7”s in the past. But once I climb high enough this 2k it seems like every game is just people shooting step back threes and nailing everything with little to no passing.
I prefer middies and finishing at the rim so I was already at a disadvantage compared to the deadly three point shooters but now that they can do it with people in their face endlessly it seems impossible to climb without using the same strategy. But not only am I probably not good enough to do that, it’s also just so boring to me.
I definitely prefer games with more inside scoring and more passing. And I definitely can’t stand people just wanting to shoot over AIs endlessly.
