Scott Takes Off honestly needed more Scott, IMO. What do you think?
First of all, I loved Scott Takes Off so much, and seeing a completely new story about Ramona confronting her exes directly is so much better than a 1 to 1 recreation of the comics in animated form. But even with all of that, I can't help but feel like the show generally needed more episodes, not just to flesh out characters like Knives and some of the Exes, but to also actually have Scott be in the story in some way.
The future was kind of just a big missed opportunity for a Scott subplot of sorts. I feel like Scott interacting with future Ramona and eventually getting to confront the eventuality that he's going to be separated from Ramona would super interesting to see because I'm actually kind of shock how Scott took it so casually. I would've expected him to almost side with Future Scott until Future Ramona somehow convinces him to go against his future self. I think it also would've been really cool to see Scott interact with future stuff, maybe throw more references here and there, and also would like to see him interact with what would be the future Exes (would've love to see how awkward that whole interaction would go, lol)
At least in its final release, the show's still pretty great. It kind of just sucks to see Scott sidelined completely until the two very last episodes to make enough room for Ramona.
