I have to say something, I did not care for Rosewood

The best way I can describe it is that it's safe and boring as hell, you might say that it has the Fire Department in it, well, ITS OVERRATED!!! there, I said it, the Rosewood Fire Department is a MID BASE LOCATION, you can tear me apart in the comment section but nothing will change my mind about this

What deals more damage?

If a zomboid is laying on the ground and i am stomping it to death, does it make a difference if i stomp on his visual head or his feet? Or is the hole zomboid just one single attack object?

Made mod for you to actually learn from books you read

Vanilla skill books in Project Zomboid give you XP just for finishing them. This mod adds an end-of-book check: after every skill-book chapter, you take a short quiz or play a hands-on minigame to KEEP the full XP multiplier. Skip or fail and you only get half the bonus. Ace it and the multiplier is yours.

I gave my friend a birthday present

Greetings from Russia 👋. My friend recently celebrated his birthday, and he, like me, is a fan of this wonderful game. My other friend, who knows how to woodburn, and I made this piece. So, I thought I'd share it with you. I did the design and the logo.

I printed out the image using a printer (photos 2 and 5). Using a pen and carbon paper, I transferred the design onto the wood (photo 2 and 3 (after burning out)).

P.S - he allowed his face to be posted. And, sorry if the translation is not accurate (Google translate).

Coordinate-Based territory & Spawn zones for Bandits Mod

Hi everyone, I have a UI/mod concept idea for Slayer’s Bandit Creator and Bandits mods to make bandit clans feel like they actually control/occupy territories and increase clan customization. This Idea would introduce an addition to the bandits creator UI allowing for personalized clan creation and some addition to the bandits spawning behaviour allowing for specific clan spawning in player set zones.

The 1st image shows a hypothetical UI that adds a Custom Zone Settings option, with a box to Add Zones by writing the name, hourly spawn chance and including the bottom left and top right (X,Y) coordinates to form a designated area to make up your zone. Once confirming, your zones would be listed below for your spawning customization.

The 2nd image is just a visual representation of the designated areas using the coordinates and spawn chances listed in the UI images table.

This addition wouldn’t load bandits before you visited the area, but upon loading and entering the assigned zones you would feel a difference in bandit clan activity based off the set hourly spawn chance percentage. This would allow for the spawning of bandit clans in areas or regions you would expect to find them, eg: outlining a police station as a zone for a police bandit clan, setting camps/lone homesteads as militia or hunter zones.

Additionally, if implemented and used with each bandit clans general day start/end spawning option you could make specific buildings or areas change control or activity over time, which would allow for more dynamic and immersive play styles and probably be a great addition for MP or maps. Furthermore, you could set towns or buildings as high hourly spawn chance and it would make being in these areas feel more dangerous and occupied, another boon is if you left the zone without killing the spawned bandits in it they would still be there once you came back on top of the increased zone spawns, making areas feel more punishing or difficult.

This add on? Wouldn’t affect normal spawning but would rather include an additional dice roll for the specific bandit clan once the listed zone is loaded, so you could enter an area with a high hourly chance of Militia spawns and you could have militia bandits and another clan spawn at the same time, which would allow the player to witness/interact with these clans fighting each other and you.

Would a localized coordinate check and dedicated spawn roll be something viable for modders to code? What do you guys think about this idea?

As a rancher I feel uncomfortable milking Bull cows

After the update I am being forced to milk things I know I shouldn't.. Will there be a fix for all animals being female? Is the Knox virus evolving? I drank the water as well.. Will i need to be milked? im scared. Game is unplayable for farmers.

What if Project Zomboid had real save slots?

Would it make sense for Project Zomboid to have a "real" save slot system? The kind most single-player games have, with multiple separate saves per character/world, swappable from inside the game, no file manager required.

I got tired of manually backing up the saves folder every time I wanted to try something risky, so I built it as a mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3721602150

But I'm more curious what the community thinks about the concept itself:

- Is this something you'd actually use, or do you prefer the current "one life, one save" philosophy as part of PZ's identity?

- What features would you want? (I've already included quite a few, feel free to check the Workshop page or just ask here)

- It works the same across all game modes (Apocalypse, Sandbox, etc.) and should be compatible with pretty much everything. MP support isn't in yet but it's something I'd absolutely consider for the future. Would that be a priority for you?

Reason I'm opening this up for discussion: after the first week interest has clearly cooled off, and before I keep pouring time into it I'd rather understand whether the concept actually resonates with people or if I'm solving a problem only I have. Honest reactions welcome, including "nah, not for me".

Side note: I feel like this kind of system would be even more useful in games like ARK, where the mod itself basically requires you to do manual backups to survive long-term play. PZ at least has the hardcore-permadeath argument going for the current system. ARK doesn't really have that excuse.
