Target Trip

The back story is that I'm a single dad of three kids (amicable with split custody). Last weekend, we had a good day at the park, then decided to hit up Target for some snacks/toiletries. While shopping, someone asked me to help her get something from a high shelf. No problem. She thanks me. Then my 4 year old daughter chimes in and says "My Daddy is always helping people".

It didn't hit me until the next day. This is how my kids see me. Mr. Roger's quote on looking for the helpers always sticks with me. This brought on a happy cry when I realized my kids are doing OK and I was setting a good example for them.

Started Playing Again

I played bass through high school and college. Got busy, had kids, and neglected it. Recently divorced and decided to pick it back up. Rewired and restrung my old Dean Playmate and got a Fender Rumble (based on Reddit recommendations). I tried to learn The Trooper tonight and it all came flooding back. I almost cried.
