I just moved from a house with a washer and dryer to a space that doesn’t have a washer and dryer, and the laundromat that was recommended to me that is about a block from my new home is actually closed on Wednesdays. I absolutely must do a wash today or early this evening, so I’m looking for recommendations of laundromats that are clean and spacious — and ideally somewhere in proximity to Nansen Street and 71st Ave. (I don’t have a car.)

I’m taking a prospective client — whom I know — to dinner tonight (Friday). I had thought about the garden at Montoya’s, but given that we are still going to be under a heat advisory, I’m thinking it might be better to eat indoors somewhere. Wherever we go has to be somewhat conducive to conducting business — meaning we need to be able to hear each other. Also, I’d prefer something on Metro but am open to other ideas as well. Thanks!!

Today I finally fired Spectrum after 35 years of loyalty since TWC was established in NYC. I live near Continental and Nansen. I’d love neighbors’ recs for providers other than FIOS. Any experince with plug and play — and if so, which and what should I watch out for in terms of service or tasks? I use mostly for e-mailing and web — often for work, but rarely large files of any sort, and I occasionally watch movies or TV. Just two devices — a laptop and phone — both mine. Thanks!!

I have been a customer since Time Warner days in NYC. This week, I attempted to schedule a change of service from my current home to my new home one block away in Forest Hills in NYC. I have spent SIX hours total with reps rattling off scripts, not answering questions, interrupting my follow-up, providing patently incorrect responses, and on and on... So despite the fact, that I will now be without home internet as of Wednesday, I actually did cut the cord today. As a business person with decades of client-facing experience, this bet they have placed on minimal to no satisfaction multiplied by hundreds of thousands of interactions a day is mind-boggling. Do they really think that the friction of changing carriers and devices will overcome a business model that completely ignores client needs and consultative customer service. In the age of a new provider, service, technology around every corner???

I’m south of Metro and a couple of blocks north of Forest Park. There is an intense smell that I think is from the wildfires. Are others smelling it, and if so, approximately where are you in FH? (I also can't tell if the color of the sky is pre-thunderstorm or smoke...)

I’m a broker whose longtime client owns an investment property in FiDi. It will be available for occupancy approximately September 1, and showings will begin approximately June 10.

The apartment is a large 1BR, approximately 825 SF, with high ceilings, exceptional light, and a washer and dryer in the unit. It is in a boutique condominium with door staff, a fitness room, and a roof deck with amazing views.

Our asking rent will be $5,250. Since it’s a condominium, there will be building fees, which will be posted online tomorrow. As per the law, no broker fee to you for the owner’s representative.

Just doing a gut check here: I just called this nail salon to check on pricing for a regular manicure with my own polish — no art, fillers, gels, just a conservative nude, one coat of color and a top coat (not even a base coat for this long-lasting polish from Essie) — and I was quoted $75. I asked a second time to be sure I heard correctly and the person on the phone understood my request. And she confirmed: $75. Am I missing something???

Does anyone have a contact they can share? I have a proposal for AEG, the long-term booking and promotion entity and have tried to reach them via the their social media team but have not had a response.
